                                               Chapter one: The Fire

"Wake up!!" says Zack. I look at him and he is sweating and looks like he is in a painc "whats going on?" I say rubbing my eyes "The house is on fire i cant find mom and dad!" Zack says running out of my room. I rush to get up and run downstaris I look in my moms room and she and my dad are not there "zack! when did this fire start?" I yell at my brother trying to find him. "I dont know, I woke up because I was getting really hot and I smelled smoke, I went down to mom and dads room and they were gone!" my brother says and then he starts bursting into tears. "Zack pull yourself togetther this is not the time to cry!" I yell getting mine and his stuff together. "Zack watch out!" i screamed as a wall  falls down right beside my brother "we have to get out of here!" I pull my little brother out the front door and run across the street. "Mrs. bonnie!!!!!" I scream while knocking very hard on her door. "what is wrong sweetie?" says Mrs. Bonnie as she opens the door "Mom and Dad are missing and the house is on fire!" i say starting to cry "come inside hunny we will call 911" Mrs. Bonnie says opening her door and letting me and Zack in.
