"Hey, Keith." Lance says as he walks into Keith's hospital room. "huh. Lance, what are you doing out of your room?" Keith says as Krolia and Kolivan stand up. "We'll give you two some time alone." Keith smiles as he watches the two Galrans walk out. "I just came to see you and to see how you are doing."Lance says as he sits on the foot of the hospital bed."I'm ok. but shouldn't you be with your family?" Keith questions while he sits up slowly holding his head. "I told them I wanted to see you. They asked the doctor first he said it was ok for me to leave the room." Lance says through a smile. "I'm sorry Lance" Keith says dropping his hand into his lap. Lance raises an eyebrow.
"Why are you saying sorry? You didn't do anything wrong," Lance questions grabbing Keith's hand. "I was thinking about when I left to be with the Blades I forgot to tell you guys why I left. I didn't leave because I didn't want to be the leader I left because I wanted you to stay on the team." Keith responds dropping his head towards his lap. "Keith. I didn't want you to leave the team so I can stay on. You left before I could tell you something." Lance says putting a finger under Keith's chin lifting his head up.
"what was it?" Keith questions tiling his head a bit."I wanted to say I love you, but you left to early so I never got a cha-" Lance then gets cut off by Keith's lips on his. "I have been wanting to do that for who knows how long." Keith giggles wrapping his arms around Lance's neck. "Never seen you as a person to giggle" Lance says placing his hands on Keith's hips.
"I can do a lot more than that." Keith winked as he spoke causing Lance to blush."So are you going to ask me to be your boyfriend? Or are you just going to sit there and pretend nothing happened." Keith said bitting his bottom lip. "I was getting there before you cut me off, so will you?" Lance asks with a small chuckle.
"Yes, you dork." Keith says pulling himself on Lance's lap."Lance, I'm going, to be honest, but I thought you liked Allura and not me?" Lance shook his head. "No, I guess she was just a crush that went away plus she is like over 10,000 years old so she is way too old for me," Lance said then went and kissed him earning a kiss back.
"I have someone better anyways. And he is a lot cuter, better personality, yes can be stubborn but you know I like that."Lance place his on Keith's hips again. "you know if this war is over now would you like to move in with me or buy an apartment or something?" Keith gives a small smile and nods as he rests his head on Lance's shoulder.
"That would be great!" Keith says as he yawns. "Tired?" Lance asks earning another yawn. "I can leave if you want so you can sleep." Keith takes his head off of Lance's shoulder and shakes his head. "could you stay here? I don't like to be alone. Even after being alone most of my life."Keith said with a sad smile.
"of course."Lance says a bit fast then notices the few tears streaming down Keith's cheeks."Keith... you're not alone anymore. I won't leave you." Lance says getting off the bed and sits on the other end."You need some sleep. come here."
Keith turns around and crawls up to Lance. "Keith I want to tell you that I will protect you with all I can, Love you with all my heart, and I won't leave you," Lance says wrapping his arm around Keith. "I love you, Lance," Keith says as he lays his head on Lance's chest. "I love you too beautiful," Lance spoke in a soft voice kissing Keith's head.
Lance brushes his hand through Keith's hair as he listens to his breathing calm down to a soft pace."Lance." someone whispers in the doorway. Lance looks over to see Krolia standing in the doorway. "hmm?" Lance hums. "please take care of my son." Krolia says with a smile. Lance smiles back and nods as he brushes his hand through Keith's hair again." get some sleep." Krolia says as she leaves.
Lance grabs the blanket from under Keith and covers them both. Lance scoots himself .down a bit being careful not to wake Keith up. He wraps his other arm around Keith and lets sleep take over him.
