It was an extremely long night. Longer than they ever had, waiting for doctors to give them news about Jin. He had been in surgery for hours. However, it was not the only worry the members had that night.
Tae had to be sedated as well after a severe panic attack hit him. Jisou (therapist) had been called in almost immediately but even she could not help, and they really could not hide Jin's condition from him.
The five boys waited, too tired to even cry now, they sat there in a daze, hoping it was a dream they would wake up from.
-------an hour later----------------------------
A nurse came to inform them that Tae was awake and they could finally see him. Still there was still no updates on Jin, they all decided to wait in Tae's room. As they neared the room, they heard sobs and a heavy voice they could recognize anywhere.
"It was...because of meee....wasn't it?? It is mmmyy fault?" Tae said ,in between his sobs, to Jisou who was sitting by his side.
"No Taehyung, it was not your or Seokjin's fault, it was all the monster who hurt you and him. You can't take responsibility for his actions, plus he wants you to hurt to blame yourself instead of him. Don't let him win...you can't."
Jisou continued as the boys quietly made their way into the room, careful not to disrupt the conversation.
Tae saw them come in and broke down once again with a mantra of "i am sorry.." and "I didnot mean for anyone of you to get hurt". The boys almost piled on Tae as they laced him with reassurances and gentle comforting touches to make him let go of the guilt and blame he was carrying.
Seijn came in and stood quietly, leaning against the door frame, heart warmed up at the scene, but also broke at the pain his boys had to suffer.
"ahem" He cleared his throat to get everyone's attention. He hated breaking this moment but he had to give the boys the news, some good news after such a long time, although probably not the good news they desperately waited for at the moment.
"Is Jin hyun...g" RM started but was Seijn interrupted to avoid giving any of them false hope or alarm.
"No news from the doctors yet....but Sal has been convicted and will spend rest of his life in jail" Seijn said with a relief, at least now they would be safe.
All the members visibly relaxed a bit, at least the danger was now gone, the after effects remained for sure, but at least no one else would get hurt.
"...why? ...why did he hurt Jin hyung..." Tae asked , his voice dripping with pain.
"...after he attacked you, it seems the consequences were bigger than he expected....his wife heard of the ordeal and left with their son, calling the police on him. He became a full fugitive and his entire life started falling apart. He use to drugs before as well, but apparently he started doing a lot more as his life turned upside down and well, then he blamed BTS for destroying him. Revenge is all he had left and wanted. He did not apparently care if he was caught or sent to jail. He clearly knew he could not escape his actions and got extremely desperate."
"but why...Jinnie...hyung...whhyy..not me...he should have jjjust...hurt mee ?" Tae asked, his lower lip quivered.
"how would it be better if he hurt you and not Jin? He wanted to destroy BTS and he knew, hurting anyone of you would hurt you all....It is not your fault Tae and how would Jin feel if he heard you saying that. I am sure he would never ever want you to get hurt instead of him." Seijn replied, while Jimin laid a comforting arm on tae's shoulder.
"Plus, he is the psycho who targeted you, hurt you and when his life got fucked up he decided to blame us for it...Its ALL his fault, not yours, not Jin hyungs, no ones, but HIS." Yoongi added with bitterness in his voice. Seijn almost commented on his language but refrained due to sensitivity of the situation. He was allowed to express himself, and anger was an emotion Yoongi could easily express.
As the room started to quiet down, everyone processing the information and situation, a soft knock broke the momentary calm.
It was Jin hyung's doctor. At the mere sight of him, everyone's breath got caught in their throat, time itself seemed to stop.
"Its okay, the surgery was successful, he will be fine...he really is strong" the doctor said with a smile.
Everyone broke down with the news, broke because of relief, broke to let their stress and worry out that they had been holding in. Jimin, Jungkook and Tae were locked in a hug as they cried, smiled and whispered numerous "Thank God" and "he is okay". Yoongi finally fell against the weight he was carrying for this entire time. His knees buckled and he fell to the ground. Tears spilling from his eyes uncontrollably. RM kneeled by him and hugged him as he also started crying out of relief. Jhope joined the Maknaes and hugged it out, adding his tears and laughter to theirs.
The nightmare was over....it was finally over.
