"Happy birthday (Y/n)!" Shouted Hanji. Hanji tackled the young girl in a hug, ending up on the floor with her.

"Hanji......need........air....." (Y/n) managed to breath out, before dramatically passing out.

Hanji realized what she said, and got off her quickly, pulling the girl up to her feet. "Sorry, but I'm just happy that you are able to celebrate your birthday. You really don't celebrate it anymore."

(Y/n) brushed off the dust and pebbles off of her hands and knees. "I never celebrate it cause it's just me turning another year older. Why would I want to celebrate the day that drives me closer to death?"

Hanji just started at her. "Jeez girl! That was dark. You wounded just like shorty for a second."

"I'm not short stupid glasses!" Levi yelled, and hit his science teacher on the top of the head with a book. "And she's right. The day that we're born is the day that leads us right to deaths door."

"Jeez you two are depressing." Hanji complained, and left the two.

"Is it me, or is she just getting crazier by the second?" (Y/n) asked, taking a seat in the back with Levi sitting next to her.

"She's been crazy since she learned about science. And yeah, she's getting crazier by the second." Levi agreed, and opened up his book, reading where he had left off.

"Good point." (Y/n) kicked back and relaxed.

For the rest of the school day, (Y/n) was showered with mini presents, small flowers on her locker, or given to her in person, and many cards being slipped in her bag. She always said thank you, but there was one person who hadn't given her anything, and that was her best friend.

"Oh my god this was exhausting." (Y/n) sighed, tired of all the gifts. She opened up her locker, and there was only one note that fell in front of her face. She picked it up, and opened it up.

Dear (Y/n),

Meet me at the place where we had first met after school. Then follow the rest of the pieces of paper where you get there. Your final destination means a lot to both of us. See you then.

The letter wasn't signed, so she started to get a little suspicious. "Jeez, whoever left this note sure doesn't want their face shown. Wonder who it is."

The place that this person was talking about was Maria Elementary school. She was home schooled before she went to a public school. She entered the old school, and went to her old classroom, Mr. Ackermans room. He was Levi's uncle, and he sure knew how to make things fun.

When (Y/n) looked at her old classroom, she was shocked to see everything was the same. She thought everything changed when they left, looks like she was wrong. Everything was cleaned up, and there sat a note, right where her desk was. She walked over to it, and picked it up.

Sure has been a long time since we had been here. Now that you have found this note, go to the tree where we had carved our names in a long time ago..

The old tree? She was there with Levi when they were younger. They watched a movie that day, and thought it would be a good idea to carve their names in a tree, to remember their friendship a long time ago. She got out of the old school, and made her way to the park.

"Levi, are you sure we should be out here?" A younger version of (Y/n) asked the younger version of Levi. She wasn't sure if they were supposed to be at the park after school, without telling her parents.

"Tch, your such a brat. Nothing bad is going to happen." Little Levi said, and went behind some thorn bushes, not getting scratched.

(Y/n) laughed at the memory, and watched as her younger self and Levi had went behind the bushes. She followed, and the first thing she saw, was their names in the tree.

"We're always going to be friends, right?" (Y/n) asked her friend, carving her name in.

Little Levi looked at her, and the nodded his head. "No matter what."

(Y/n) saw the note in the center of the writing. She slowly walked over, and pulled it off the tree. She opened it up.

This is where we promised each other that we would be friends forever. This is where we were officially best friends. Now that this memory has ended, why don't we go to the first place where we dance together.

Danced together? Where would that be? She started going the the files called her memories, and the first place she had danced with Levi was at her house. When she was younger, (Y/n) didn't know how to dance, so Levi offered to teach her. This was middle school, not that long ago.

(Y/n) rushed home, and fumbled with her keys to get inside her house.  When she opened the door, there stood Levi. He had a small smile upon his face. "Finally."

(Y/n) felt tears starting to poor down her face, and hugged her friend. "Thanks Levi."

Levi hugged back, and brought her inside. "Why don't we enjoy your birthday together."

(Y/n) whipped the tears from her face. "Yeah."
