He heard her whimper and beg for mercy, hopelessness in her strained voice. She sounded tired.
“Don’t worry, Marzia,” Felix whispered. “I’m coming. Everything will be alright.”
“Don’t die,” she whispered, her voice trembling.
He was silent. “I’m not going to let anything happen to you.”
