I'm BACK!

Sean's POV

"Do you know what happened?" Max asked suspiciously.

"No." I replied shortly.

"Thought so." He whispered to himself.

"What? Tell me." I said eagerly.

"The Investigation Committee thinks it wasn't Kyle who attacked you."
He told me and I was stunned.

"What?" I asked for confirmation.

"They'll make a report and send it to all the members and officials involved."

"Are you sure? How's it possible?"
I was very shocked to know the truth.

The attack and then Kyle going missing, it all made sense but now it didn't.

"I'd rather ask, who else could it be."
Max said in a worried tone.

"Yeah, that too." I whispered to myself as I rubbed my temples.

"The Committee must have some proof." He suggested.

"I hope. Other wise, we're still in danger."
I told him as I was very perturbed.

"I know. But, I'm sure we'll find him soon."
Max encouraged.

I nodded to myself with determination.

Then, after some silence, Max said in hesitation,
"I'll...call you later."

I somehow felt a blushing impression in Max's tone. In such tension, I still couldn't keep myself from pinching Max.

"Oh, come on."
I said with a mischievous smirk.

"Sean, don't." He said sternly.

"Why? You've got others to talk to?"
I asked while laughing.
Of course, he was going to talk to Emily.

Emily was Leila's human best friend and also Max's mate. They were the good couple while Leila and I were the grumpy couple.

"Oh my." He sighed and dropped the call, leaving me laughing to myself.

I also put the phone on the side table and got back to trying to sleep.

   .....

My head was ringing constantly and I wanted to sleep 'cause I was tired and wanted  to get some rest.

Adding the fuel, I was missing Leila and I couldn't even call her at this hour. Neither did I want to just jump in her home. She needed her space too.

I sat up and just looked everywhere in attempt to kill my boredom. Suddenly, my phone rang and my eyebrows furrowed in worry.

Who could it be?

I checked the caller ID and I was beyond terrified. I sat more steadily and I was ready to leave any moment.

"Leila, is everything okay?"
I asked in tension.

"Yeah, what would happen to me?"
She replied casually.

I sighed in relief and didn't reply her back as I was busy settling myself.

"What? I can't call you at night?" She asked amused.

I smiled to myself at her casualty.

"You couldn't sleep too." I stated and instead of answering, she chuckled to herself.

It was actually funny when two people, who wanted to sleep, couldn't because of the same reason.

"I don't know how to make people fall asleep or to sing  a lullaby."
I said with a smirk.
