That same day, I'd ended up going home with the company of Ned and Peter talking excitedly about Star Wars and arguing about Jar Jar Binks. "You can't be serious. He's hilarious! Come on, don't you guys think so? Jenni?" Ned asked, looking at me. I'd almost forgotten that had been my undercover name. "Jar Jar Binks? He's annoying as hell!" I said, remembering his character. It had been a while since I'd seen all of the movies but I vividly remembered him. "Thank you!" Peter rejoiced. "You're both wrong. He's such an underrated character!" he said as we rode up in the elevator.
"Hey, it's your opinion and I'm not going to say you're wrong but...you're wrong," I said as we reached the floor, going to my door. "You're coming with us, right?" Peter asked confused. "Yeah. I just want to drop my stuff off. Besides, uh, I got a text to call my dad so I'll be there in like five minutes," I lied with a smile. The two boys nodded and went into Peter's, still arguing over Jar Jar Binks as I shut the door to quickly call Tony.
"So how was your first day at school?" he asked and I could feel the smirk on his face. "It was better than expected. I stood up to an evil cheerleader and made friends with Ned and Peter Parker," I told him. "Good. Now you can officially start. I'll need a report on how things go any time you're with him," he said and I agreed to it. "And by 'made friends' do you actually mean you befriended them or...?" "What else would that mean?" I asked, raising a brow. "Well, I didn't know if that was code for 'I beat them up' or something," he admitted, making me laugh. "Yeah, totally. Well, believe it or not, I'm hanging out with them as soon as we hang up," I told him matter-of-factly. "Is that so? What are you going to be up to?" he asked, curious. I mumbled a response.
"What?" "Building a lego Millennium Falcon," I grumbled to which he burst out laughing. "Wow. I had no idea you were into that. Well, anyways, have fun with your toys. Don't break anything!" he hung up still laughing. Rolling my eyes, I left and knocked on Peter's door as it was answered by Aunt May. "Jenni! Peter had told me you'd be coming over," she said, letting me in. "How was your first day?" she asked, trying to make small talk. As I started to form an answer, Peter interrupted her, grabbing me by the arm to escape the conversation.
I got a weird feeling at noticing how firmly yet gentle he'd gripped my arm. I guess it was normal since I wasn't really one for physical contact and I carefully pulled away as we got to his room. Ned sat on the floor, opening the box and looked up at us with lit up eyes and a large smile. "You guys ready for this?"

After hours of laughing and building, we all laid on the floor admiring our work. "Honestly, I didn't hate that," I admitted, staring at the completed Millennium Falcon. The two boys high-fived each other and looked over at me, trying to figure out whether or not to offer. "You do realize I don't bite, right?" I rolled my eyes with a smile. "The way you handled Veronica today says otherwise," Ned commented. So that was her name. "Fine, then. You guys are lame anyways and I should be getting home. My, um, dad will be home soon," I said standing. The two boys looked slightly disappointed at the talk of my departure but stood as well, escorting me out the door.
"It was nice hanging out with you two. Hopefully we can do it again sometime," I smiled at them, saying farewell to Aunt May as I went to my own apartment, breathing out a breath of relief. I sent Tony a report on the normal scenario that had just occurred and plopped down on the couch. That was pretty fun? Maybe this wouldn't be as bad after all? I don't know though. All I know is that I have to follow through.
After a while of sitting around on a Friday night (yes, I'd been sent on Thursday so I can rest what traumatic events were to occur), I went over to my room where the fire escape had been and climbed out, taking a seat as I gazed out onto the never-sleeping New York. With all of the noise, I'd still managed to find piece, closing my eyes until a scream made me shoot up and I used a plant's roots to quickly pull me up where Peter didn't see me hiding as I knew he'd go to the rescue.
Not a second later, I saw Peter in his suit jump out of his window and he swung away, me following close in suit. The air carried me like a leaf in the wind and the roots and branches of different trees and plants helped keep the momentum going as I kept an eye on where he'd turn. I saw him swing down an alley and remained on the roof, watching his every move as we saw a band of three guys in black had a young woman surrounded. It didn't take a genius to know what had just happened.
"I wouldn't do that if I were you," Spider-Man said cockily. "Get lost. This isn't your fight," the guy holding the woman spat. As Spider-Man continued to spew comebacks, I'd scanned all of the men and noticed they'd all been reaching for their guns and/or knives. Spider-Man then took on one of the guys with a knife but had failed to notice the man about to shoot directly at him. Seeing this, I blew towards the guy making the gun hit the floor. He looked around confused but Spider-Man had gotten him before he could try anything, webbing the three together.
"Th-thank you, Spider-Man," the woman thanked, her eyes looking broken. "It's what I do. Just try to stay away from alleys on your way home, alright?" he said as the woman rushed away, calling someone to pick her up. Spider-Man stood there for a second and I could immediately tell he could feel my presence. My eyes widened and I got up from where I'd been sitting on the roof, running away from the scene.
I hid a few ways away from where I'd been, seeing Spider-Man jump up and investigating as soon as I'd gone, leaving nothing in his sight except a fully-bloomed daisy right next to his foot.
