(No one's POV)

When Abby and Stormfly hit the water, Abby was about to drown until Stormfly paddled up to her, grabbed the back of her shirt and went up to shore. It was harder for Stormfly to swim since he never swam before. When he reached shore, he  laid Abby on the ground, he was trying to call her and when she didn't answer, he was starting to get scared. He started to nudge her head but it also didn't work, he then put his ear near her mouth and heard her breathing rate. She was alive. Once he heard her breathing he picked her up and walked slowly to the forest to lay down to rest after all those burns Eggman gave them but Abby's was much worst. Stormfly then laid on the ground and placed Abby on the ground. He then picks her up by his tail and made her lean against his warm body covering her with his wing and tail. They then rested for awhile until a visitor arrives.

(Shadow's POV)

It was 6:30p.m. and I was wondering around the place and went close to the shores of the sea. I was walking pass the shore until I saw something. I saw foot prints, ones that are from a citizen and ones from a beast. I then looked where it was leading, it was heading to the forest.

"The foot prints lead to the forest." I whispered.

I then started to follow the prints and towards the forest. I then started to look around and soon enough, I saw the beast. I then went closer to see if there was a citizen. When I did, the beast's eyes flung open and saw me. I was about to fight and the beast hissed and growled at me. When the beast crouched and lifted it's wings, I then saw the girl that was from the village. She was covered in burns and she was shivering. When I approached, the beast started to roar at me and wouldn't let me go closer. I then took a look at it and noticed that it also has burns around it's body. The creature then started to feel pain and laid on the ground again. As it did, I ran towards them, I then put my hand on the creature's head and stroked it until I moved my hand and started to help the girl. When the creature saw me, it started to get angry.

"Easy, I'm not going to hurt her." I said. "I want to help."

It was then awhile later, I bandaged the girl and the creature's burns, but the girl was still asleep. I then decide to try and wake her up.

"Hey, wake up." I said as I shook her. "Wake up."

After a few nudges, she Finally woke up.

(Abby's POV)

I heard a voice that was calling me. It didn't sound like Sonic or the others, the voice was new to me. I woke up slowly.

"Are you okay?" The person said.

My eyes were now clear, I could see the person's face. He's a hedgehog like me but he was black with red stripes down his spikes, and his chest had a white patch.

"Where am I?" I asked.

"Your at the edge of the forest, far away from the village." The person said. "What happened to you and your creature?"

"Someone named Eggman, attacked the village." I said. "Then Stormfly and I got captured with a electric net and I managed to cut us out then it was out."

"Eggman?" He said with shock. "Why would he want to capture you?"

"He wanted to capture Stormfly, he's a very rare creature." I said. "And I don't know why."

"But it's okay, both of you survived." He said.

"My name is Abby the Hedgehog." I said. "What's your name?"

"I'm Shadow the Hedgehog." He said. "I'm sort of a rouge around this place."

"Well you have a friend now, if you want me to consider you as one." I said.

"I don't mind." Shadow said. "Would you like me to guide you two back home?"

"That would be great." I said. "Thank you."

"Your welcome." He then turn towards the direction we were going. "Follow me."

Both Stormfly and I got up slowly and walked with him to guide us back home to the village.
