(Abby's POV)

We were soon back to the village, everyone was in their homes sleeping so it wasn't much of a problem for me but for Shadow was a different story. As I enjoyed the view, I heard Shadow walking away from us. I immediately turned around and went towards him, I then manage to put my hand on his shoulder.

"Wait," I then paused for a moment. "Aren't you going to walk to my house Shadow?"

Shadow then looked at me with a sadden expression. He then sighed.

"I shouldn't," Shadow then clinched his hands and closed his eyes to try and hide the shame. "The people wouldn't want me to be around here, I'm a threat to everyone."

"What- your not a threat." I said. "You helped me with my wounds and guided us home. I'm sure that they'll like you once I explained-"

"No..." There was then a moment of silence. "If you were here longer, then you would've known what all I done." I then looked away from him with a sad expression. "They can't trust me."

"But I trust you." He was then shocked at that moment, it made him jump a bit. He didn't expect that answer. "After all, you did help me and you were kind to me."

He was then speechless of my answer, it was like he never had anyone say anything kind to him. He started to blush a bit while he was scratching the back of his quills nervously.

"Its best if I stay this far away from the village." Shadow then turned around but before he left I gave him a quick hug. This caused his blushing to increase.

"Again, thanks for everything." I said with a smile. "Could we hang out more? I would like to get to know you, if that's okay?"

"Sure..." Shadow said.

"Awesome, how about tomorrow night?" I asked. "No one would be awake and bother us."

(Shadow's POV)

"But I trust you," She said as she blushed. At that moment I let out a quiet gasped from her response. "After all, you did help me and you were kind to me."

I was then speechless, I didn't know what to say to that. I then nervously scratched the back of my quills.

"Its best if I stay this far away from the village." I said, I then started to turn around until I felt arms around me. I turned to see Abby hugging me, soon enough my blushing got worse.

"Again, thanks for everything." Abby said with a smile, she then let go of me. "Could we hang out more? I would like to get to know you, if that's okay?"

I was quiet nervous, I never had anyone ask me that question before, let alone a girl that... I then made a nervous smile.

"Sure..."

"Awesome, how about tomorrow night?" Abby asked. "No one would be awake and bother us."

"That will work for me."

"Awesome." Abby said, suddenly I heard a big yawn from her creature. "Well, I better go, I'll see you tomorrow Shadow."

"Yeah..." I said with a small smile.

Soon enough, Abby and her creature went to the village. I was shocked of what happened, I made friends with a girl that I liked. But I questioned myself. Is it a good idea? Would she like me? Would I be able to tell her about what I did in the past, and if I did would she still...be with me?.... I soon went back into the forest.

(Sonic's POV)

It was awhile since Abby was captured. We all were trying to come up with a plan to find her. Everyone was silent until Amy stood up.

"This is all my fault." Amy shouted out of nowhere. "If I haven't just covered for her, she would never be in this mess to begin with."

"It wasn't your fault Amy, you were only covering for her to protect her Allura Dragon." I said.

"But still," Amy then looked away. "I should've done more."

"Hey, I think I got a idea." Tails said.

Soon enough we heard the door opening, we gathered around to see Abby opening the door.

"Hey guys." Abby said as she waved.

"Abby, your back!" Tails shouted with cheer. "We thought you would be in Eggman's lab."

"Both Stormfly and I were able to get free from the electric net." Abby said. "Which left some burns."

"Come sit down," Amy said quickly, wrapping her arm around Abby. "You must be exhausted from walking back here."

"Heh, it was nothing, really." Abby grinned. "This wasn't the first time that this happened too."

I then rushed towards her and gave her a quick hug, Abby gasped at the sudden hug.

"Don't scare me like that, Abby." I said. "I thought Eggman would do something to you."

Abby then hugged me back. "You know me bro, I'm not that easy to catch."

I then helped Abby get to her room so she could rest. I'm just glad that she's back home alive.
