Chapter 1
Water. Think Speed. Water. Speed in water. Goal? Win. Medal? Gold, only Gold. I will beat these other swimmers, for I am the all famous Amy Mattews. SPEED.
BEEP.
The second I heard the beep I was in the water, thinking speed. Muscle. Speed. Fast. Winner.
And I was off. I had set the world record for Womens 200meter-butterfly 1 year ago in the World Swimming Championships. I had a better time than Michael Phelps did in the Men's 200 meter Butterfly. 2:01:12 was my time, and I was proud.
I spent my whole life training for this moment, these moments, when I could make history. No one can stop me and no one did. I was just encouraged and cheered on.
By the 150-meter my legs were aching. I just wanted to finish. This very race is the one that if I came in first place, I win a gold medal. My 8th gold medal in the London 2012 Olympic Games. I will also be the only woman to win all 8 events and get a gold medal in each. I'm only 17.
The china athlete to my right was kicking up her speed. I was atleast 8 seconds ahead of her and I needed to take advantage of my start. The next thing I know my hand touched the wall and the light on my lane flashed on. I had just won a Gold Medal in the Women's 200-meter Butterfly at the Olympics. I was mad happy. This was my moment in history. My Record.

"Amy I cannot believe you are going to the Olympics. I am like so jealous" My friend Ally was standing with me at my locker. I laughed at her comment. "It's been my dream Ally, all I ever wanted and in a few days I am leaving to conquer my dream." I replied back feeling confident and excited about my Olympic Trip in a few days. She patted me on the shoulder "And we are all so proud of you." Ally has been my best friend since diapers considering we are cousins. We also go to the same high school. I teared up at the though of having to leave my school and best friend. But I was going to the Olympics.
