AN: Just a little something I've concocted up. Enjooooy my readers.
——————————————————————The heavy dark clouds that hung them over looked like cotton candy to her. Fluffy pink clouds of delicious cotton candy. Something she imagined the afterlife held.
Endless clouds of cotton candy. Miles and miles, as far as the eye could see. She also hoped for chocolate rivers.
At that, her companions stomach growled feverishly. She looked over at him, a delicate eyebrow raised.
"Was that your stomach?" Her distinct feminine voice asked amused. The boy didn't try to hide his amusement, letting out a happy laugh.
"Yup, it definitely was" The female soon giggled at that. The boy shifted his body a bit, getting in a more comfortable position.
"We should go to a buffet" The boy spoke up randomly. He felt his stomach bubble. He took that as an agreement. The boy was ecstatic his body finally agreed on something.
"A buffet? What about homework?" His faithful companion huffed, amused anyways.
The boy looked over with a sweet smile, the breeze soothing over them.
"Homework? What homework" The girls eyes softened with fondness as she locked eyes with the faded eyed boy. She reached over and cupped his cheek.
"Oh Clay..."
—————————————————————
Clay Jensen sat bored at his desk. He could feel the vibrations of the classroom. He could feel the tapping of pencils, feel the way the tree outside tapped against the window. Yes feel.
Clay Jensen was blind. Well not fully, technically he could see but not the way a normal person would see.
The world around him was entirely grey. He could see outlines of people and things and that guided him throughout the world.
To him it was normal, he never knew anything else. Clay was told other blind people didn't see anything at all. So he counted his blessings for that.
Everything and everyone he's encountered was gray. The color was only thing he's ever come to love with all his heart.
That was until he met her.
Hannah Baker.
Right from the beginning Clay knew she was different, something else. It began at that she wasn't grey like everyone else. She was... he didn't know what she was, he didn't know a description of what it was.
It was vibrate, colorful, filled with life. An for the first time in his life he felt truly alive. He just had know this girl.
So he did. He approached her in the hallway one day, asking for her name.
A beautiful friendship blossomed from that single encounter. One that would shake the heavens and douse the savannah.
It was truly a once in a lifetime event. One that almost changed fate.
Almost.
