Rule number one: Do not show weakness. As far as anyone knows you are emotionless..this has been the most effective buffer for pain I've ever used.

God dammit. I should've never taken this job. Yeah I don't know what I was thinking taking a job from a mob. What did I think was gonna happen? I was going to deliver them the stone and they were going to give me my payment and some ice cream? Well now I got myself in some deep trouble and I want my stone back. "GET HER DAMMIT!!" I just laughed. It was comical that they thought they could catch up with me. I reached into my pocket and took out a smoke bomb and I booked it out of the warehouse and onto the highest thing I could find which was a fire escape. "Where did that little brat go?" One guy said "She probably went to a populated area. Let's go check the park. Do you still have the stone?" The other guy said. "Yeah I gave it to the boss." I almost laughed out loud. I wasn't actually going to give them the stone because from what I've heard it's my one way ticket out of this place so I just gave them a fake one. The guys slowly walked towards the park and I sighed. They were gone. *Clap* *clap* *clap*. Ok maybe I spoke too soon. "I have to say that was impressive. Never really believed them when they said you were good" I turned around to meet a tall and lean guy. Around 14 or 15 with grey eyes and black messy hair with a small scar across his left eye brow and 2 cartalige peircing on his left ear. I raised my eyebrow at him. I've never seen him in the mob before but..he looked awfully familiar. "Ok listen Mr. New boy. First of all you're too close so back it up before I mess up your face and second of all you have your stone so just let me leave." He smirked "it's not the stone. You have the stone" "Aw what. What would make you say such a thing because as far as I know I don't have anything in my pockets" I replied quickly. The boy cocked his eyebrow and moved his hands to my pockets. I put my fingers to my lips and whistled loudly. He was so stunned by the noise he almost fell backwards. Then a sharp screech pierced the air and a hawk with red, orange, and yellow arrow like markings on his wings, neck, around his eyes and underbelly dove down from the night sky like an arrow with his talons extended straight toward the boy. The hawk scratched the boy across the face with both of his talons and flew back up. I used that time while the boy was still on the floor holding his face in pain to scale the building to the roof. Then another screech came and the hawk was flying right beside me. I smiled and said "right on time Archer. Thanks for the help." I jumped from roof to roof with Archer the hawk following me until I reached my rundown building where no one lived in. I climbed up the fire escape to my apartment. I slipped my hand into my pocket and took out the stone. It was smooth, almost like silk and it was semi transparent with different colored specks in it which made it look like the galaxy. I let out a sigh. I've been tracking..and by tracking I mean stealing artifacts that would supposedly get me off of Auris. Sometimes..I regret things like this. I'll be leaving my life behind. The life that I've grown so used to. I went out to my fire escape and looked up at the stars. "If anyone is out there..please..help me get off of this planet."
