The wardrobe of the daughter of the sea

The beginning of it all

My brown hair was in a braid down my back as i sat in the train. It was war, all the childeren where sent to a saver place. I was sent to one profesor kirke, he was the friend from my mother. I clutched the small sword pendant that hang around my neck. "Can we sit here?" I heard a girls voice say pulling me from my thoughts. "Yeah..." I said quietly with a little nod. "Come on guys, we can sit here" she said to some other people. Two boys and another girl walked into the compartment. "My name is susan" the girl from before said "and this is peter" she said pointing at one of the boys, he had dirty blonde hair and gave me a friendly nod. "And edmund" she said pointing at the other boy, he had dark brown hair and gave me a smile, i returned him a little smile. "And the other girl is lucy" she said pointing at the little girl with brown hair. "My name is sarah" i said quietly while looking down a little. "Thank you that we may sit here, everywhere els was full" peter said smiling as he sat down. "No problem..." I said quietly but with a little smile. The others sat down as well. "So where were you sent to?" Edmund asked. "Uhm... A proffesor" i said quietly, i didn't know if i could really trust them. "We also where send to a proffesor, maybe the same one" susan said "that would be fun" lucy said with a joyfull smile. "Yeah..." I said while holding the pendant. "Are you always so shy?" Edmund asked. "You can't ask her that! What if she just doesn't like to talk?" Susan said defending. "Just shy..." I responded to edmund "but not always, just when i'm with people i don't know" "how old are you?" Peter asked. "Why do you want to know...?" I asked him quietly. "Just wondering" he said and looked out of the window. "I'm 14...." I said in reply "almost 15" i looked at the little pendant, the necklace was intertwined with my fingers. Peter was actually really nice. "May i see your pendant?" Lucy asked as she sat down next to me. "Sure..." I said as i took the necklace off and handed it to her. "It is really pretty" she said as she looked at the little golden sword. "Well, i got it from my mother, she said she got it from my dad. But i never knew him, he had to sail the sea" i said to her as she handed it back. "It is sad that you never knew your dad, but it is nice you have something From him" she said with a little smile. "Yeah, it is" i said as i put the necklace back on. I looked at it with a little smile "i hope i'll meet him some day." For the remaining ride i chatted with them till the train came to a stop. "I need to get of here" i said as i took my bag "we two" susan said as she took hers and lucy's bag. "Seems we're at the same place" edmund said with a smile. "Yeah, seems like it" i said with a little smile, edmund was like the little brother type and he was really adorable. "Get your bag ed" peter said as he took his bag. "Sure sure" edmund said as he took his bag. We all stepped of the train and looked around. There was a cart pulled by horses comming our way, it stopped in front of us and i could see the woman who was controlling it. "Peter, susan, edmund and lucy pevensie?" She said and looked at us. "That's us" susan said and they pulled their bags on the cart. "Then we have sarah wave, the proffesor expectes you" she said and looked down on me. "Yes ma'am" i said quietly, i placed my bag in the cart and climbed after them in the cart. The horses started to walk and we where on our way to the house we would stay. I heard wispers behind me as i sat down in the front. "She is really cute" i picked up from their conversation. "Who is cute?" I asked as i turned around. "Oh... Eh... Our dog" peter said and looked away. "Y-yeah, she is really cute, and small" edmund said and looked down. "We don't have a dog!" Susan said as she looked up from her book. "I want a dog" lucy said joyfull. 'You got caught' i thought "then who is really cute?" I asked with a little smirk. "None of your bussines" peter said a bit angry. "Sorry, i didn't know you would get angry" i said quietly and looked back forward to the road ahead. "You ruined it" i heard edmund wisper to peter. "I can hear you" i said teasingly. "There are a few rules you need to know" mrs. Macready said "one; no running around in the house, two; the professor musn't be inturupted in his studies. But of course sarah, you know all of this already." She said stern. "Yes ma'am, i do" i said in reply "good" she said back. "You've been here before?" Susan asked me. "Yes, he was a friend from my mother. But he is more like a grand father to me" i explained to her. "But you know a lot about me know, i want to know about you since i have to live with you guys" i said and sat down next to her and peter. "We are from london, our dad service in the war and our house was bombed a few days ago" susan said to me as she put her book away. "That sounds terrible, i mean the bombing and that your father service in war" i said, i pulled a little box from my bag. "Here, it is some turkish delight. I got it to eat on the train, but sharing is more fun" i said as i held out the little box. "Turkish delight?!" Edmund said as he looked up at me. "Yeah, something wrong? Are you alergic?" I aske as i held out the box to him. "No, not at all. I love turkish delight" he said and took a piece. I gave lucy and susan also a piece. "You want some?" I asked peter as i held the little box in front of him. "Just one..." He said as he took one of the strawberry ones. I saw edmund giving peter a little elbow push. I smiled a little since they all where very friendly towards me. "We're almost there" macready said as we came to see the mansion. I looked at the others and saw their jaws drop. "You should see your faces" i said with a giggle. The horses came to a stop infront of the big doors. We all took our bags from the cart and stepped off as well. Macready opened the door, "the professor is busy with his studies, do not interupt him" she said as she walked us to our rooms. I pushed open the doors to the girls room. I placed my bag on one of the beda and went to the book case. I took out a book called narnia. "Hey lucy, do you want to read a book?" I asked as she walked into the room, i held the book out to her. "I don't really read, but susan does" she said as susan walked in. "Only books with facts" susan said as she placed her bag on a bed. "Oh alright" i said and put te book back. I looked one last time at the title and sighed. A few years ago i had been there, i had been in narnia. I met aslan and the fauns and elves and all the other creatures, i even met poseidon. "Diner is ready" macready said as she opened our door. "Does proffesor kirke eat with us?" I asked curiously. He won't but he does want to see you" macready said and pointed at a door that led to his studie room. "Alright, i will come down later to eat" i said and walked out of the room. I walked to the door and knocked on it. "Come in" i heard professor kirke say. I opened the door and walked in. "Sarah, good to see you again" he said and stood up from his chair. "Hello proffesor" i said with a smile. "Did you meet the pevensie childeren?" He asked. "Yes, and i think lucy is going first" i said with a little smile. "Good, do you know where the wardrobe is?" He said. "Yes, the room end of the hall" i said with a smile. "Go and greet your old friends." Professor kirke said with a slight smile. I walked out of the room and into the last one in the hall. I opened the door and closed it behind me. There was a closet hidden underneath a white blanket. I slipped under the blanket into the closet closing the door behind me. I walked further and further into the closet pushing my way through the coats. The air felt cold as i walked further, something was wrong, there wasn't supposed to be cold air. I walked further quikening my pace till i came to a stop as i felt no more coats and no more trees. I looked around worried, there was snow, it was winter. "H-hello" i heard some one say. I quikly spun around facing the person. "I didn't mean tk startle you" he said quikly. "No need to apoligize" i said as i calmed a bit. He walked away from behind the trees till i saw him. "You're a faun" i said as i saw he was part goat. "My name is tumnus" he said with a friendly smile. His red scarf was covered with a little layer of snow, the little umberala he had was also covered in snow. "I'm sarah..." I said a little bit quiet. "You mean, the lost queen sarah?" He made a little bow as he recognized me. "Don't use the name queen, i haven't been here in a long time" i said as i clutched the pendant around my neck. "But you have returned" he said as he walked to me. "Yes, but this isn't narnia as i recall. It is not supposed to snow here" i said as i looked around. "Yes, we can talk about this in my house" tumnus said as he gestured me to walk with him. He walked to a little house, he opened the door and but his umberella away. "May i ask, where is aslan?" I asked wanting to see my old friend. "No one knows, he is gone for as far as i know" tumnus said making a cup of tea. "Is it because of the winter?" I asked thanking him for the cup of tea. "It is because of the white witch that it is winter, she claims that she is the queen of narnia" he explained to me. "Then it is the right time for me to have come here, i have found the sons of adam and the daughters of eve." I said quietly so no one could hear. "Then go, now! You must be there when they come!" Tumnus said whit worry in his eyes. He quikly pulled me out of the house and to the lantern. "Go back to the world you came from" he said as he let go of me. I quikly walked through the trees and after that coats, till i came to the wooden door from the closet. I pushed it open and slipped underneath the blanket. I walked down stairs whwre every one was sitting at the table. "You're just in time we where about to start eating" macready said. I silently sat down next to peter. "Are you alright? You seem a bit white" he said as he layed his hand on my shoulder. "Y-yes" i said while stuttering "completely fine." I brushes some of the snow from my shirt and looked down at my plate. "You don't seem so fine, maybe you're sick" peter said, he placed his hand on my forehead and i felt my cheeks heating up. "P-please, i-i'm alright" i stuttered. "Peter, stop doing that. Don't you see she doesn't like that?" Susan said to peter. He pulled his hand from my forehead "sorry" he said to me. "It is alright..." I said calming down a bit. "See it is alright" peter said towards susan. I quietly started eating as they continued to argue. "Come out fred" i wispered as i opene my bag, a ferret jumped out and started running around. "What is that?!" Susan asked a bit surprised. "It is a ferret, i thought you would know" i said as i picked fred up. "And he isn't any kind of ferret, right fred?" "You are talking to it like it will respond" susan said while looking at fred. "Why yeah, ofcourse i respond" fred said "and will you put me down? I have been in that bag for to long" he said annoyed. "A talking animal!" Lucy said and started petting fred. "Sorry fred, but you can't be seen on the train" i said as i let him go. "You could atleast bring me with you through the closet" fred said almost begging. "Watch your words, or i wonmt take you with me at all" i said a bit angry. "Sorry , my queen" fred said as he stood on his hind legs making a little bow. "Queen?" Susan asked. "Long story, you'll figure it out soon enough" i said to her "in the mean time, you should read this book" i said pulling narnia from the shelf. "I only read books that are usefull" susan said crossing her arms. "Alright, but it would be usefull some time soon" i said placing it back om the shelf. "We should go to sleep" susan said as she put on her payama. "It will be a long dag tomorow" she daid and slipped into her bed. I quikly put on my payamas and lay down onto my bed pulling the covers over me. "Will you tell me a story?" Lucy asked susan. "No luc, you got to sleep" susan said before closing her eyes. "I'll tell you a story" i said patting the place next to me on the bed. She climbed on the bed next to me. "There was a girl named lucy" i began "she was a fair girl, her brown hair shined in the sunlight, her eyes where golden brown. She was pretty like a queen of a far land. One time while playing with her brothers and sisters she discovered a wardrobe. She climbed in the wardrobe wanting to know what was inside. She walked further and further into the darkness, the warm furry coats not letting her see what lay ahead. The coats where replaced by trees, the oaken bedding from the wardrobe became the ground from a forest. She walked further into the sunlight, she saw a little lantern ahead. As she walked to the lantern she heard footsteps behind her. Hello, i'm sorry. I didn't want to startle you a friendly voice said. No need to apologize, my name is lucy. She said in her sweet voice and honest smile. The person came out of the shadows, his lower half was not human it was goat. He was a faun. His curly hair was a ginger color and you could see the little horns he haid. My name, my name is tumnus dearest child of eve. He said holding out his hand to her and invited her for tea. She walked with him to a small house. As he poured the tea inside a pretty little cup he asked her if she was from here. No, she replied, i am from the other side of the wardrobe. Tumnus looked at her wondered and he had a little smile. Then my dearest child would you like to be our queen? He asked her real polite. It would be my honor to be queen of this far land. She said with a smile that was so pure that every one would fall in love with. All you need to do is go to cher paravel, that is where i'll see you. Tumnus said as he stood up, he walked outside of the house and pointed at the north. That is where i'll see you. He said and he disappeard in the forest. Lucy started walking in the direction he had pointed at, on her way shewas greeted by animals and creatures. She arrived at the castle and was greeted by tumnus, a grwat lion stood nextt to him. She was crowned queen of the far land and lived a happy live" i ended the story. Lucy looked at me "what a great storry" she said with a smile. "But you need to sleep and dream about the far land" i said as i tucked her in bed. "Good night" she said and closed her eyes. I lay down in my own bed and quikly drifted of to sleep.
