John's POV

I woke and shot out of bed, I came downstairs to see Laf and Herc chatting. "What did I tell y'all 'bout barging into my house?" I sighed and made myself some coffee.

"Not to?" Hercules tilted his head, "Correct. But since you're here-" "Where'd you go yesterday?! I returned back here without you, you now better than to not inform me of where you were going!" Lafayette snarled.

My wolf didn't like being talked down to like this, especially from a lower rank. I let out a deep growl and approached Lafayette, setting the mug down.

I wound up cornering the Frenchmen. "What was that, frenchie?" I taunted, his gaze shifted to the ground out of respect for my rank.

"S-Sorry beta, I was just worried.. that's all." He murmured, his voice barely a whisper. I nodded and stepped away from him, he let out a breath of relief.

"I'll have you know where I went was and is my business." I said flatly and took a sip of my Coffee. Hercules chuckled at Lafayette's fearful expression that was fading.

I turned to glare at Lafayette, "Am I clear about that." I challenged, he nodded meekly. "I can't hear you." I seethed, "Yes beta, we're clear." He said softly.

I gave a short grin and finished my coffee. "Now, Hercules will be taking over my rank for today. I've got somewhere to be and don't know when I'll return." I explained.

"You make sure Alpha knows of this." I told them, "Yes, beta." They said in unison. I hummed and pushed them out the door before going upstairs.

I couldn't get Y/N out of my mind, her sweet scent. The way her cheeks flush a dark crimson when I get close and personal with her. Her gentle, doe-like eyes.

I snapped out of my daze as I ran into a dresser, "Fuck," I cursed under my breath. "That hurt." I muttered and opened it.

I grabbed a plain green button-up, sliding it on. I rolled up the sleeves half-way so my freckles arms were revealed.

I put on some black pants and some cologne. I checked myself in the mirror, making sure I looked presentable.

I walked out of my house and looked around, I caught sight of Maria. I sighed and walked over to the woman, who was wearing a signature red dress that was tight.

I tapped on her shoulder, he let out a huff and turned to face me. When she saw me she flashed a flirty smile, "Hey hot-stuff, what can I do for ya'?" She purred, twirling some of her brown hair.

I shuddered in disgust and rolled my eyes. "I was wondering if you knew of any good flower shops?" I asked, "Ooh~ Who's the lucky girl?" She giggled.

"That isn't of your concern." I sneered, she pouted. "There's one around the corner." She muttered, I nodded and trotted off.

Y/N POV

I woke up and basically rolled out of bed, then I remembered the encounter from yesterday. I groaned as my head made contact with a shoe.

That hurt like hell. I sat up and rubbed my eyes. Did I want to see John again? Part of me did but the half of me knew it was risky.

I sighed in defeat, I guess I'll go see him today. I got up and walked to the bathroom, I applied little makeup because I was lazy as fuck in the morning.

I brushed out my hair and I still smelled fine, I spreader some perfume on my lightly. Once I was done I left the bathroom and went to my closet.

I skimmed through different options.
