"PETER" I heard my dad yelling from downstairs. Wait, what? "What time is it?" I asked into the room "7:30" Friday answered.
FUCK. I'm gonna be late for school. I sprinted into bathroom. Maybe I shouldn't be up so late until the Finals are over.
just 5 Minutes later I run into the kitchen were mom and dad are eating breakfast.
"Why are you running?" mom ask
"I-I'm late for school"
"It's weekend, genius" Harley passed me and sat down next to our mom.
I looked at dad "Then, why were you yelling?"
"I wanted to ask you if you want to work down at the lab with me today" he said and tried to hide an kinda evil grinn.
I sat down beside him "I hate you"
"No, you looove me, I'm the best." he was still grinning.
My brother started to laugh a bit and dad gave him a look. Even mom tried to hide a grinning.
"yeah, i'm gonna work with you at the lab." I said before dad could say something. "you can't say no to the lab" he grinned.
"Btw Harley, I got your.. Spiderboy"
"Spiderman" I corrected him but he ignored it. "I just asked him and he said yes"
"Oh, did he?" Harley gave me a look.
"Yeah, the boy's like 14" dad said and the little one startet to laugh.
"Okey whats up between you two? You're acting kinda Strange" mom asked. For a moment Harley and I just looked at each other, then he started to speak "Uhm... We... Had a bet"
Ouh, thats good. My babybrother is pretty good at lying. Mom looked at me and waited for me to say something.
"Yeah, a bet. Harley wins, I guess" I said slowly. "What kind of bet" dad asked.
"The bet was that you can get Spiderboy for my birthday, guess your oldest just doesn't believe enough in you."
Everything went silent for a moment, dad looked at me kinda like...'oh, yeah? Is that so?'
"I just said that a superhero isn't some kind of Party act. Right dad?"
"I don't think that your father knows that." Mom said pretty unemotional.
"Oh come on Pep, it was just one time and I was drunk" dad argued.
"mhh... Yeah, whatever."
"yeah... I should go now" Harley said and leaves the room
"Yup...me too, I go work down in the lab" I stood up "Oh come on kid, don't leave me alone with this"
'Sorry' I mouthed while leaving the room and went down to the lab.
Half an hour later, or so, dad walked in. For the rest of the day we worked on his suit together.
