Her Dream

The Meeting

After school Ana hugged Raven bye and made her way to her Mercedes Benz in the parking lot. Ana didn't really want it but her mother insisted she had a nice car so that it wouldn't hurt the family's "Public Image." Ana drove to her house and waited for the gates to open. She secretly hated the fame that came with her mom being a famous singer, but learned to deal with it anyway. When she walked through the door she greeted the house staff and went to go speak to her mom in the kitchen.

"Hi mom." Her mom looked up and smiled at Ana "Hi sweetie how was school?" Ana almost rolled her eyes but decided against it. She had to convince her mom to go to the meeting today. "It was good mom" she answered with a fake smile. Her mom went back to her phone cutting the conversation short.

Ana gulped and sat down next to her mom. Her mom looked up and stared at Ana. "So mom...i need to talk to you about something." "Well what is it Ana don't you see i'm busy?" Ana cringed at her mother's words.

Even though she was used to them, it still hurt her at times when her mom talked to her like one of the house staff. "Well mom remember last week when i said i had went to Raven's house? Well i lied, i went to go audition at a record label company and the man loved me!" Ana paused to smile, but finished speaking. "He said he wanted to have a meeting with my parents which is you"

When Ana was done speaking she looked at her mother. Her mom's mouth was just hanging open. "Oh yeah, the meeting is today by the way." The next thing Ana knew she was being smacked to the ground by her mother. "How dare you lie to me number one and number two go behind my back!"

Her mom's voice was booming in the big house. Ana's eyes filled with tears, but she would not cry in front of her mom. "Go to your room and don't come down until i tell you to!" Ana got up off the ground and ran to her room wiping the tears away. She slammed her door and laid on her bed.

Before she knew it she had fallen asleep. When she woke up and looked at the clock, it was 10:00. She rubbed her face and looked at her phone,11 missed calls from Josh. "Shit, what am i gonna do now." She called Josh back.

"Hey Josh, sorry i missed all your calls i was sleeping." "Its not a problem Anastasia, do you think you could come to my office now?" Ana hesitated before speaking "...Sure not a problem." "Alrighty then, see you when you get here." Ana hung up and walked down the hall making sure her mom was sleep.

Sure enough she heard her mom's snoring. She tip-toed down the stairs and grabbed her keys. After making sure the gates-man wasn't at his post she drove to the record label building. Standing outside waiting for her was Josh. He greeted her with a friendly hello then they made there way inside to his office.

Once in his office, they got straight down to business. "So Anastasia where's your mother?" "Just call me Ana please." Ana then began to tell him about what happened at the house. Once she was finished, Josh nodded his head. "Well i guess you can sign your own contract then." Ana smiled the biggest smile she could and signed the contract. Josh's eyes lit up, "Welcome to the team."
