She stood, pressed against the wall of a run down deli. The entrance to an alleyway loomed next to her. Jess' nerves were on edge, but she took comfort in the cold metal pressed to her lower back. A rusty neon sign buzzed and flickered above her head. The flashes of dull red and blue light sent shadows snaking along the walls. Heavy footsteps rang out from around the corner. She froze. They were making their way towards her. Jessica pulled her hood further down over her face before she stepped out into the open.

The footsteps halted and she cocked her head to the side. With a smirk Jessica glanced around. There were six of them. None of them were particularly unusual where looks were concerned. But they moved as if they were dangerous.

One of the men broke from the group with lazy steps. He moved around her. Circling her like a shark. Jess' hands hovered by her sides itching to reach behind her back for a gun. He came to and abrupt stop and pressed a gun into her side. The world slowed. She breathed once— twice. Warm breath fanned across the back of her neck. "Are you scared?"

Within a split second Jessica had snapped the gun out of his hand and and drawn one of her own from behind her back. She pressed the barrel against his forehead. "That's a good question. Are you?"

The rest of his cadre aimed their guns at her head. A shot rang out from behind her. It missed her but hit the neon sign instead. It exploded in a shower of sparks. Jessica ignored the fact that sparks flew— a bit too literally for her taste and frowned. Glaring she whipped around putting him in a chokehold. Keeping the gun trained at his head. With a growl of annoyance they reluctantly lowered their guns. She gave them a small smile. "Now now boys, what could you possibly up to at this time of night?".

One of the other men laughed tilting his head to the side. "Nothing that concerns you. Plus what are you going to do about it sweetheart? You wouldn't dare pull the trigger," he sneered in a cockily.

Her smile broadened, "Wouldn't I?"

Jessica's finger tightened on the trigger. she tilted her face up to reveal her lips. He made a move to lift his gun, but she was quicker. Jessica ran forward, twisting her body around into a kick and snapping the gun out his hand. Her hands latched onto his shoulders and she kneed him once— twice in the gut. He fell to the ground and Jessica raised her arm to throw a knockout punch. She was stopped mid-movement.

The other man had gripped her arm. His fingers were covered in a thick layer of grime and his nails were bitten down to the quick. Disgusting, had he ever heard of hygiene? Jessica reached back grabbing his wrist, and threw all her strength into a twisting motion, flipping him onto his back. She kicked him in the stomach winding him further.

"Did your mother teach you nothing? Young men should always wash their hands.", Jess tutted, drawing her gun and slamming it into his temple. He dropped like a stone. Knocked out cold.

A noise from down the alley attracted her attention. She set herself into a sprint, running at them head on. Jessica focused on the first man, grabbing onto him and swinging herself up onto his shoulders. She covered his eyes with her arm, wrapping her legs around his throat. One of the other men roughly pulled at the back of her hoodie, drawing a knife. Without hesitation she turned around and with my free hand punched him as hard as she could in the face. Knocking him to the floor. Jess threw herself to side bringing her and the first man down to the floor. She sat on his chest, straddling him as if he were a horse.

"Sweet dreams honey.", she smiled slamming his head into the concrete. A bullet whizzed past her head and she combat rolled out of the way. Gunshots rang out as bullets embedded themselves in the concrete surrounding her. "Your aim is bad as hell." Jess laughed as she sprinted at them again. Slipping her second gun out of its holster Jessica threw herself to the ground sliding between their legs. "Surprise!" she hissed. Aiming for their calves she fired. Both of them screamed falling and clutching their legs. The bullets had hit their mark. At least— unlike them— when Jessica fired it actually hit the thing she's aiming at.

Sirens began to wail in the distance. Less than five minutes later the police arrived. All of them tumbling out their cars guns drawn. One of them walked up to her. "All of them are incapacitated you can put down your weapons, five in total," she said jabbing a thumb over her shoulder.

One of the other cops piped up "Yup sir its them."

"Who did this?" the cop standing in front of her asked, pointing at all the unconscious, shot and bruised weapons dealers lying in the alleyway.

Jessica raised her hand, "Oh, that was me."

He whipped around staring at her wide eyed as whispers ripped through the crowd of officers. I showed everyone my badge. "Well that is certainly impressive- do you have a partner with you by any chance?"

"Nope, just me." she replied shrugging.

His eyes widened even further, "How old are you miss...?"

Jessica looked him in the eyes squaring her shoulders, "It's ma'am to you and thats none of your concern. Unfortunately, I have to be back at home for dinner. So I'm going to have to leave you here. I take it you've got everything under control." Walking away Jess waved over her shoulder, leaving them gaping, open mouthed behind her.
