I grab Tristan's hand and drag him down the empty hallway. "Jess! Where are we going!? Shouldn't we go back and explain what happened!?" , he puffs stumbling after me. "No, just keep your voice down."
Obviously the extensive damage done to the hall would have to be explained. But the agency would have to deal with that. I scan the hallway for a unoccupied room. Aha! Janitors Closet, perfect!
I drag him inside with me. I turn to him my blonde hair wild. I roll up my sleeves exposing the bandage on my arm as well as three knives strapped on the other. Tristan looks at me curiously,"I am guessing now that you didn't fall of your bike and if so, what did you do to cause a bandage like that on your arm? Not to mention two broken fingers?". I look up at him and answer offhandedly,"Oh I had to get inside a building. Yeah, lets just say I didn't have time to pick locks.". Tristan's eyes widen,"Don't tell me you are actually punched out a window!". I raise a eyebrow,"Of Course I did! Part of the job!" He shakes his head, "You are insane. Wait, didn't you get in trouble for destroying property?"
"Nope. I had full clearence . Meaning I had permission to destroy stuff and if push comes to shove to kill. I also have full clearence in my mission to protect you.". Tristan frowns slightly,"About that Jess. Did you make friends with me just to protect me? You know for the mission.". I look at him sternly,"No I was only given the assignment the afternoon after I made friends with you." His face softens "You really meant those things about like, you could break me, and stuff?," he asks smiling sheepishly, " You weren't just shooting unicorns then?". I burst into laughter,"Shooting unicorns! What kind of figure of speech is that!?".
"Jess I'm serious O.K.". I press my lips together trying not to laugh. "Yes I'm serious about that, I wouldn't just throw my best friend to the wolves you know," I say sobering up,"now in all seriousness, weapons!"
I unholster my guns I retrieved from the after the fight from behind my back and one from each boot. I pull off my hoodie and unstrap the knives from my belt. And then reach into the collar of my shirt and pull out a gun and three ninja stars.
"Okay plan of action is, we need to get you back to the agency asap. In order to complete that plan we may have to incapacitate some people. I am going to give you a gun and a knife. Please don't shoot me because that would definitely slow us down. Not to mention the fact that it would permanently stain my hoodie. Simple explanation on how to use it aim it at their legs and pull the trigger. Another piece of advice, bullets aren't unlimited so don't get trigger happy. Also don't try be the hero, because if anyone is getting shot it's going to be me so stay behind me!" Tristan looks up at me with a air of curiosity and horror. I smile encouragingly at him.
"It's time to run."
