Filler Three: An Unwanted Visit.

///

Akahana lay in her bed, staring up at the ceiling. She brings a hand to her cover her eyes as she sighs. It had been about a week or so and Shikamaru has been coming in every day. It gave her a sense of direction. Like he was an anchor keeping her steady.

She liked the feeling. It made her feel less of a monster. A smile graced her features as that feeling overtook her being, it was like she was melting. The feeling gave her endless chills. It felt so warm.

"You're a literal fool, Akahana," a voice said to her. In the blink of an eye, the ANBU watching her were out like a light. The voice was one she was familiar with, she could feel his presence. She sat up and glared into the darkness.

"Ah, don't look at me like that. It stings," sarcasm dripped like venom from a snakes mouth as he spoke.

Fluorescent eyes emerged from the darkness. Eyes. Not beads. Akahana stared at the smoke that took the figure of a boy. He stood in front of her cell, a smile stretched out on his face as his eyes scanned her figure. "As beautiful as ever," he fawned.

He walked through the bars and stood in front of Akahana. Akahana stood as her red orbs pierced through his blue hues. "I'm shocked you held up for this long," he muttered, "I expected you to come crying for power," his shadowed finger went from her temple and dragged it gently down to her jaw.

Akahana tried to push him away, but her hands went right through. He laughed. "I am smoke. A shadow might be better, though," he said.

"Get away from me!" She snarled, eyes flashing a purple hue that made the shadow smirk. His eyes dropped as his face went stoic, he leaned down to mutter in her ear, "you're nothing but a pitiful monster only to be used as my vessel," his hand reached out to touch her head, but stopped when Akahana moved away.

"Stay still, you fiend," his words cut through her resolve easily as she screamed, "shut up! I'm not a vessel nor a monster!"

"Keep telling yourself that," Akahana fell to the ground at his harsh words. It was true, she could pretend she was human, but she knew she was no longer what she dreamed to be. She was tainted with blood, and had deep sins engraved into her soul.

"You crave bloodlust!" He screamed, "you love the pleas and cries as you kill," he drew closer, "don't you, Akahana!"

"Stop it!" She screamed, the seal on her wrists breaking. Her hues dying into a purple, the figure smirked wider. "There you are."

"Come to me," he reached out his hand, Akahana could stop the crave inside her, but something held her back.

"Hurry up! Hurry up, my vessel-"

"Stop!" Akahana turned and saw Tsunade drawing nearer and nearer. "Fuck," he muttered, he grabbed her arm and Akahana screamed. Her eyes flashed back to red as she controlled herself, "I am not your vessel!"

He growled as he let go, "watch your words."

And he was gone.

No traces. No lead. Tsunade watched as her niece cried, hunched over. Tsunade was surprised she held back. That she fought back. The Akahana people knew wasn't lost, she was right there. Tsunade stepped into her cell, kneeling down to her.

"I'm sorry," Tsunade apologized. She looked down on Akahana for a while that she didn't see the traces of the lost girl wanting to be found.

Akahana looked up, dried tears on her face. Her eyes were blood and stone, "if I were you, I'd kill me. That man won't stop until I'm under his control." Tsunade healed the burn on Akahana's arm, "I won't kill you. And he's not going to touch you."

Akahana scoffed. "He already did. Can't you see?! I'm a beast!" She exclaimed. "More blood than you can ever imagine is on my hands," her voice lowered drastically as her lips turned into a scowl.

Tsunade's lips pressed into a thin line. "Tomorrow," Tsunade started, "tomorrow you will go outside," Akahana's eyes widened, "you're crazy. I refuse." Akahana was ashamed to go outside, after all that she's done, how could she look the civilians in the eyes?

Kawaguchi Akahana, the only remaining thing left of her sister. Even if Akahana may not be ever trusted again, she had to try. After all, her sister left Akahana in her hands.

You will no longer have to suffer alone.
