I walked hastily to the beach. Not many people were out right now, but I still didn't want to be seen by too many people before Percy sees (never tell him I said that).
Piper, surprisingly, dressed me fairly well. I'm wearing a dress shirt without a coat, a black tie with thin silver stripes, and black dress pants that aren't too baggy. My shoes I didn't care about, so I'm wearing my usual black Converses. My hair is combed and isn't as straggly, and I placed it in a small ponytail (small because I only have so much hair) with a small strip hanging as a bang. I don't look that bad, but it shouldn't matter too much anyway.
As people saw me, I grumbled to myself. I wanted Percy to be see me, not them. This is what I get for agreeing to meet outside. However, once I'm at the beach, there's really no one there. No one but Percy, sitting on a small blanket next to a basket, dressed up nice, and looking out at the sea. I stood and stared at him for a moment, wanting to take a picture.
I hear a Snap! and look to my side. Leo and his annoying self in holding an old-fashioned camera, printing the picture and handing it to me with a mischievous smirk.
"Here you go, my peep." he holds in laughter as he pushes the photo in my hand.
I growl, but before I can cuss him out, he runs the other direction. I roll my eyes, huffing (deep down, I know I'll hang the picture up in my cabin later), and stuff the photo into my back pocket. Freaking elf, I say to myself.
Percy didn't hear the commotion, so I walk towards him, careful not to kick up too much sand and dirt. He hears me coming and turns around, a wide smile (almost as wide as Piper's was) crossing his cheeks in a gorgeous manner. He takes my hand, and I sit next to him on the blanket, intaking his dress choice: a blue dress shirt with a blue tie and blue coat, blue dress pants, hair combed and tussled to the side, and brown (I crinkle my eyebrows at the odd color standing out) dress shoes. He definitely was more fancy about it. I suddenly feel a bit bad I didn't go an extra mile.
"You look great." Percy compliments.
I look down and mumble, "Not as great as you."
I hear Percy chuckle, "So you may think."
I chose not to reply, wondering if he really meant it; the logical side of my head said he did, but there's still some doubt on the other side of my head.
"I brought food! I can't really cook, so I got it from the dining pavilion, but I hope it's still okay." he says, opening the basket in the middle of us.
"Of course." I respond.
He opens the basket and I see a variety of American versions of Italian food. I smile. I see garlic bread, spaghetti, and of course, blue pizza. There's a Coke and a water bottle, and utensils.
"I hope it's okay... and I know you don't eat much, so don't worry about not finishing."
I appreciate the thought he's put into this date. "Thanks, Perce."
He smiles, and leans in towards my face, "Can I...?"
I roll my eyes, "Kiss me?"
He scratches the back of his neck, sort of blushing, and nods, "Yeah."
I sigh with a slight of laugh, "Yes, you may." So he does, and it's magnificent.
A/N: Enjoyed the positivity so far?
