yukhei and jungwoo are sitting together, their legs dangling over the edge of the cliff, both of them staring out to sea. the sun had just set, and the sky was a deep, blood red.

jungwoo rests his head on the younger's shoulder, their hands intertwining. yukhei smiles genuinely, his thumb rubbing jungwoo's hand gently.

"you know," jungwoo begins ever-so-softly, breaking the calm quiet. "if i fell off this cliff, if my world ended right now, i would be glad to have spent my final moments with you."

yukhei tries to refrain himself from screaming.

he places his free hand on jungwoo's cheek and allowes himself to laugh. "you're way too cheesy. where did that even come from?"

jungwoo's brows furrow and his bottom lip juts out. "i mean it!" he insists.

yukhei leans in to peck jungwoo swiftly. "i know."

jungwoo smiles and he finally tears his eyes away from his boyfriend to look at the sea once again. he leans into yukhei's side, but their hands remain linked.

"yukhei," jungwoo says, so quietly that yukhei might've mistaken it for the breeze coming from the tides.

by the tone that jungwoo used, yukhei knew this was serious, and not exactly in the scary sense.

"i love you."

yukhei lets out an audible, strangled sound and he can see jungwoo grin. yukhei mirrors the expression.

this was the first time jungwoo had told him he loved him.

he brings jungwoo's face to him. he kisses the other again, and once he's finished, he breathes, "i love you too."
