I waited for him to return for about half an hour, entertaining myself by staring at the window which didn't have much of a view. Just the other side of the building really.

Murmers were caught outside the hallway every few minutes or so.

Right after Nash left, I asked the nurse for a mirror and maybe a brush which she brought back to me.

I looked like death honestly.

My normally straight dark blonde hair was now in knots all around my head. My eyes had dark bags under them but I had been sleeping plenty. I also seemed pale and my green eyes weren't as bright.

It took a while to brush my hair, especially only having one arm to help. My waist length hair was frizzy afterward but it looked better than before.

I also got the chance to brush my teeth because my mouth felt absolutely disgusting. There was no known makeup around me to make me seem more lively but I just let it be.

I knew Nash was back because I recognized his voice along with another familiar one.

Furrowing my eyebrows, I set my gaze on the doorway. That is until the sight of my best friend came in with another set of flowers, along with 2 drinks.

"Eva!" I said in an enthusiastic voice as she rushed to put things down. Even when she looked upset she was still gorgeous. She had her dark brown hair in natural waves and her grayish eyes stood out even if she wasn't wearing makeup.

Nash smiled over at us. "I met her down in the waiting room, apparently no one told her she could come in now."

I looked from him to Eva, who's eyes were outlined with tears. She still kept a smile though.

"I'm so glad you're okay, I was so worried I thought I was gonna throw up." She gushed and I placed my hand on her arm.

"I'm glad you're here." I smiled at her.

"Hey what about me?" Nash joked from the table which he took out 2 white boxes. I instantly knew the smell of Chinese food.

"I hope you like Chinese, because....I love it." He came over to my right side and placed it on the small table, pushing it so it was more accessible to me.

"You must've read my mind."

"Do you need help?" Eva asked, opening the box for me and ripping the plastic fork from its packaging. This boy must've seen me at a Chinese restaurant before because he got my favorite- sweet and sour chicken.

"I'm good, but thanks." Nash also put the white cup in front of me, which had coke cola in it.

"I'm glad you aren't a Dr. Pepper kind of person."

"You don't know me." Was his smart reply as he held back a smirk.

"Back to that." I pointed out.

"Later, I'm starving." He began to scarf down his food like he hadn't eaten in days. Who knows.

"How long were you waiting to come in?" I asked Eva while I struggled to get food into my mouth without dropping it.

"Today? A few hours. I went home last night in defeat. They don't slip up around here."

"I'm sorry, I tried to convince them myself." I apologized.

"Well I'm here..for now. Mom said she'd come by in a few days when you're feeling better. But she needs me to help finish painting her room today."

"You won't hurt my feelings by leaving, I'll be here for a while."

"I can wait an hour or two. It's already 7 o'clock." She assured me.
