Chapter 14

LEE JI EUN'S POV

The atmosphere is dimmed plus Jungkook's face looks surprised when both of his brows furrows together now. On the other side, I am still awed to see the good looking Park Lee Young standing in front of us. He looks dashing with a long raven hair and a clean street fashioned style. I almost did not recognize him if he didn't call my name first.

"I'm delighted to see you for the longest time. How are you doing, Lee Young-ssi?" probably the warmest words my mouth can say after breaking the silence, and giving him a hug afterwards.

My mind is still debating if this is the only reason why Jungkook contacted me, or if Lee Young-ssi told him about some stupid deeds I committed a long time ago. I'd be dead out of embarrassment. Praying to the gods, that it's not what I am here for.

"I'm doing good, it's been so long! I thought you were going out with someone you intended to marry Ji Eun-ssi? I'm sure this guy is not him, right?" Park Lee Young leans forward as if he could not tell Jungkook can hear him.

"Uhm.., am here because I am his doctor. Nothing else... Right, Jeon Jungkook-ssi?" I replied abruptly still standing like a bark of trunk between them. Jungkook looking quite annoyed that were forgetting his presence nodded anyways

"So...What can I help you? I'd be glad to know what brings you here Park Lee Young-ssi." His voice strikes with dominance but his eyes were mildly fixed in agitated, he then gorgeously laid back in his one expensive swivel chair. Jungkook-ssi can be rude sometimes, I got it and knew when he does. But he painting jealousy in his face right now, that he shouldn't be at any means because he doesn't have any reason to be.

Lee Young started talking I have hard time comprehending, seems like confessing with how his shoulders sunk and his voice deep and slow. But his gazed were straight at Jungkook's blazing eyes with passion on his as well, as if they knew each other for a long time. I remain dead silent until he said,

"I apologize to interfere with your appointment today. But this is gonna be the second and last time we'll see each other again. Soo Yeon and I will be back to States. We'll take responsibility of the things we did."

Jungkook flinched in the mention of her name, as if she really matters to her. I can read it clearly on how his irises grew bigger when Lee Young-ssi mentioned her name.

"I'm here to say thank you for taking care of her, perhaps for loving her when I was a jerk. Above all she's more than sorry that it was you Jeon Jungkook-ssi..." he said those without breaking the pace of sincerity across his face and smiled sadly.

"Lee Young-ssi..." I gasped in surprised as I connected the invisible lines on my head. It was the cold wind that hits my skin when I got the whole story now why he arrived here in Korea. I got chills of how much his story unfolding can truly triggers pain for another person.

"I hope you well, and please take good care of her. You're a family now. I will look forward in the day that I'll get over her for choosing you and your child." the unexpected warm words from him got my eyes watering in seconds. He smiled sadly, and I can tell how painful it was deep inside to say those subtle words of acceptance and defeat. And now what can only be heard among us were the deep sighs I need to be able to breathe properly.
