Chapter 2

It all when in a flash I was in my bed the bright pink of the silk made my room stand out since the walls were white. I heard a loud crash from downstairs I grab my slippers and ran.
"Mom what happen are you ok?"
"Im fine I just dropped some plates I was thinking I could maybe bring you breakfast in bed but something went wrong"
Thats when i notice the plates on the floor the good thing it was the ugly ones so it didn't matter. I sniffed something smelled burn , great there goes my eggs.
"Umm mom the eggs are burning" I said loud enough so she could hear me because the stupid smoke alarm started beeping .
"Oh shit!" She said in a course tone and ran to the burning eggs. She threw everything to the trash.
"Well I have to get ready for school thanks for the breakfast I did not eat mom love you" I said really quickly since I didn't want to deal with that mess.
"But you haven't had breakfast honey at least let me give you money so you can buy something on your way to school" .
"Its ok I wasn't hungry any way"
I ran upstairs so she wouldn't say anything else.
Once I was finish changing I took a last glance in the mirror. I was wearing a white dressy shirt ,blue jeans , and my favorite vans floral with blue.As for my hair i just did some waves with the iron.

As i walked outside the house a cold breeze hit me thats when i turned around and saw my neighbor Derek coming my way. I have known him since we were little we are like best friends.
"Hey whats up you need a ride?" he said in his rough voice.
"Yeah sure its better than walking just don't start with your cheesy jokes there never funny".
"Says the girl who wants a ride to school and to bad you have hear them".
"But i really don't want to what if we just talk" I wined.
"Fine but lets talk on our way to school cause we are so late" he said.
We drove in his Jeep man do i love his car its so sad its been own by him since he barely knows how to drove like seriously were did he get his drivers license.
"You know one day you can let me borrow your car" I said deviously.
"In your dreams little girl last time i let you borrow my car you crashed" .
Wait did he just said that the accident really happen the one I had I thought the shadow gived me a chance.
"What do you mean?" I said confused.
"You know you crashed it in your parking lot"he said eyeing me.
A wave of relief hit me so the accident was reversed .I remember that time it was funny i was 15 years old he was teaching me it was like 3 years ago so it wasn't the death one.
"Hey I was 15 and my first try on the wheel plus i pinkie swear if you let me borrow it i will take care of it with my life" I said extending my pinkie.
He hooked his right pinkie in mine really thight while his other hand was on the wheel boy was his draving dangers.
We talked about other non sense on the way to school i didnt tell him anything about my death and the try even though we told everything to each other i was not ready jet.
He parked in front of the school and we got out running inside when I notice I forgot my backpack .
"Omg Derek I forgot my backpack can I borrow the keys I will give them to you at lunch" I said feeling worried I was already late.
"Yeah sure just lock the door when you finish" he said tossing the keys in mid air like if he was playing basketball.
I unlocked the door and felt a chill down my spine .
Thats when I heard someone or something footsteps.
"Missed me".
