Chapter 2: 2nd Day and a New Boyfriend

"Wake up, sunshines!" My counselor said to wake us all up. We all groaned and got up. I change into some gym clothes and put on my tennis shoes. Then I straightened my hair and put it in a ponytail. I made my bed and then did the smallest amount of makeup possible. Just some BB cream and powder. Then a little bit of setting spray since I'll most likely be sweating that day. I didn't bother with mascara because the night before I found out that the "water proof" mascara I bought just for camp wasn't really water proof.

Then I helped to do some of our morning chores. We have to do chores every morning because everyday we have inspectors to look at our room and we get points for it so it's always a big deal. After all the chores were done, we left for breakfast. When we were walking towards the cafeteria, Lucas and the guys were just a few steps ahead of us, so I snuck up to Lucas and covered his eyes from behind.

"Alison?" He asked.

"Yep." I uncovered his eyes to walked by his side.

He smiled and took my hand. We swung our hands back and forth to the cafeteria. We sat by each other like always. Then when we were done, we walked into the sanctuary for morning service. A few people from our team were already there, including his cousin Lacie. We sat by her and then we decided to get up and play ninja. This time Lucas won.

After morning service ended, we all went into the gym. We planned on going outside and doing the "Inner Tube Frenzy," but the weather had other plans. It started raining, so we just stayed inside and played a lot of games.

When the games were over, we went to the cabins and got ready for lunch. This time the boys were already there when we got there so I couldn't sit by Lucas, which sucked. He texted me and said, "Wish you were sitting by me." I responded by looking up and him and smiling then I said, "Me, too." Then it was his turn to smile.

After we finished eating, we went into the activity center because our workshop for the day was in the gym. Lucas came and sat by me. Our workshop was about being on stage and how to act. Eye contact with the crowd and stuff. When it was over, we had a little time to play games. I spent my free time by playing carpet ball and watching Lucas play basketball. He's actually really good at it. Of course, we had to leave the gym before everyone else because the girls in my room take 5 hours to get ready.

I curled my hair and braided pieces back and left some in the front. Then I did all my makeup. BB cream, dream matte mousse, powder, and mascara. Then I finished it off with my setting spray. After all that was done, I picked out my outfit. I decided to wear my Hanna dress the Pretty Little Liars collection at Aeropostale. Then I wore my black bow heels. Then I put on my black bow bracelet. And of course, since some of the girls I'm rooming with can't curl their hair, I had to curl two people's hair. I don't know how I was able to get it all done. 

Once everyone was done curling their hair and perfecting their Taylor Swift red lipstick, we went to dinner and luckily I was able to catch up with Lucas. The meal for the night was spaghetti and garlic bread. We also had a salad bar and for dessert, chocolate cake. It was very good. Lucas and I talked about so many things like old teachers and just some of the randomest stuff ever. We left when our table had 5 minutes left. Then we all hung out side and everyone was taking pictures. And when I say "everyone", I mean EVERYONE! Then Lucas and I decided to take a picture. He put his arm around me and I put my arm around him. Lacie took the picture and she would not stop smiling. She knows we like each other, so she's takes every opportunity she gets to embarrass us.

"Aww y'all are so cute." She smiled.

"Okay, that's enough Lacie." Lucas said.

She looked at him and said, "Lucas, can I talk to you for a second."

He hesitated and then replied with an, "Okay."

They walked over to the other side of the road and I walked over to my friend, Kaylyn, and we talked about a few things. "So what's going on between you and Lucas?" She asked.

"Things are good. We like each other." I nodded.

"Oh, so he likes you back. Cool. Has he asked you out yet?"

"No, but knowing Lacie, she'll probably have him ask pretty soon." I said with no expression on my face.

"Well, aren't you happy about that?" She asked, noticing that I wasn't smiling.

"Yeah, but I just don't want him to ask me out just because Lacie is pressuring him into it."

"Look, you already know he likes you. So does it really matter?"

"Yeah, it does. Because I don't want him to ask me out if he doesn't want to."

"Well, that's true. So would you say yes if he did?"

"Have you seen him? Have you heard me talk about him? Of course I would say yes." I said, smiling.

She laughed and then Lucas came up. "Hey. We better get inside before service starts."

I nodded and we walked in together. Then we sat together and he put his arm around me and in that moment everything froze. I seriously couldn't move. Then he smiled at me and I smiled back. Church started and our speaker told us all another one of his famous stories and it was so funny. Then the actual service started, and it was really good.

When it was over, I didn't want to go to the dorm with all the other girls, so Lucas and I just went to the activity center. We went outside to get in line for snack shack and I got nachos and a mountain dew again. We sat down in the hallway with Lacie and a few of my friends. Then, after we ate our food, he took me to the other hallway and said," Okay. We both like each other so why don't we just go out?" He offered.

"Sure, I'd love to." I said and smiled.

"Great." He smiled back and then he took my hand and we walked back to the other hallway.

When we got there, Lacie asked, "Are you two dating now?"

I nodded and smiled and she said," Awww! So cute." I smiled again and we sat down.

After we talked for a while, we went into the gym and walked around for a little while and talked. Then they called everyone to come into the gym and sit in their team corners. Lucas and I sat by all our friends. They told us who had the most points so far and then they told us when lights out was. Lucas pulled me up and put his arm around me. We walked to the dorms and then had to split up to go to our rooms.

When we got there, I took my shower and brushed my teeth. Then I got in my bed and saw that Lucas had texted me. It read:

Hey, beautiful. -Lucas

Hey:) -Alison

You already in bed? -Lucas

Yeah I'm exhausted -Alison

Aww, my love is tired -Lucas

Yeah, I am -Alison

Well go to sleep and I'll see you tomorrow -Lucas

Okay. See you tomorrow. Goodnight -Alison

Goodnight, love -Lucas

Then I set my alarm for the next day and went to sleep.
