Tyson noticed her overalls were uncuffed. Strange.
"Relax, I cheated to. I was hiding at my house eating bread"
"So i guess we both lose?"
"No I win"

The two kids finish their game of hide and seek and run to Miss mandè's old house. No ones buying it and it's completely deserted. That's usually where teenagers go to smoke and bring new people into this world.

They climbed to the top of the door and sat there in broad daylight. As soon as Mia sat down her overalls pulled up slightly revealing a bruise on her thigh. Tyson grabbed her leg and she winced.
"He hit you again didn't he?" The chocolate skinned little boy said to her.
"Pfft..... nooo.😓 I hit my leg on the chairs in my house."
Mia lied to him for the first time in a long time praying that he forgot her nervous tics.
He scoffed and looked ahead of him
"Your lying. I know when your lying because your shoulders tense up"
Finishing his sentence by glancing back to her.
"You need to stay out of it."
"He does it almost every fucking day!
You tried to hide it from me. That's why you uncuffed tour overalls."
"Thats not true."
"Then why would you lie?"
"You dont understand...."
Tyson noticed her eyes and knew she was gonna cry he grabbed her frail body and hugged her. She layed her head on his shoulder and said, "what now?"
