Miranda shot her eyes open, pulling herself up from the bed.
What happened?
Oh, she got blackout after used her power too much.
And who took her here? Rowan? No, he'll never let her rest peacefully.
One of the rarest time she immediately fainted, he dragged her to the basement of the mansion which had no heater in the middle of winter.
She would like to repeat, in the middle of winter with no heater in the basement, that's where she slept agonizingly for the whole day.
At least he throw some of the blanket onto her in order to keep her alive so he wouldn't be explaining to her father why the hell does his daughter was froze to death in the basement.
But still, no gloves or any scarf to make her felt warmer.
Despite her (technically) cousin have a very attractive appearances, he's as cruelly playful as his father, Michael.
Too playful 'till it becomes cruelty, sometimes.
"Good morning." She flinched lightly and turn to the other person who's sitting in the room.
Oh, it's Felix.
Wait, that large vamp?
"How did you get in here?" She sighed and asked.
"I took you here." He answered simply.
Oh. Like she suggested, Rowan would never take her to the bed and let her sleep without dumping a bucket of water over her.
"Thank you, then."
"You're welcome." He smiled.
He should smile more often, not just standing like a tall stone pillar and shows no emotions. She found it more better when he smile.
Felix stepped closer.
"That bracelet."
"Bracelet? Oh." Miranda held up her right wrist, showing him a rope bracelet.
"My friend made it. Cute, right?"
He chuckles and throw her something. She quickly caught it.
It was a bracelet, leather bracelet that she made for her young Felix.
"Impossible..." The Nephilim murmured, not believing her own eyes. She turn her eyes to face the Volturi guard who's looking down to her with a small smile.
"Hi, Miranda."

"How? I mean...when?" Miranda asked, confusing.
"Ten years after your disappearance." Felix chuckles.
"I'm sorry." She apologized, feeling bad for letting him faced the pain all by himself.
"No, it's alright. One nomad changes me and left, I have nowhere to go. But the Volturi clan accepted me because of my strength."
"Are you happy with your job?"
"Yes." He smiled and sat down on yhe bed next to her.
"What happened that day?" His eyes turned to met hers.
"There's a rule for a Nephilim." She sighed, starting the story.
"If the angel parents doesn't declaired that they accepted the Nephilim as their child before the child would be 17, the demons would hunt them down. The life energy of Nephilims are more precious than anything, as they were children of the heavenly creatures. Actually, the demons will keep their eyes on every single newborn Nephilims, hoping that they could taste the drip of energy from the half-mortal-immortal ones. I was stalked a lot of time too, that's why I barely go out at night."
"17, your age when you disappeared." Felix frowned.
"Yes, my father likes something...thrilling. The demon came into my house to kill me, and it almost succeeded. I almost bled to death when my hands started shaking, like it was it's instinct. My fingers were uncontrollable, they painted a picture of the wings on the wall. Then my father appeared and immediately declaired me as his child, this made the demon go away. He took me to Belarus where his friend lives and let him adopted me.
I stopped aging when I get to 18, my adopted parent gave me some money to Lebanon and told me about the Nephilim's mansion there.""And that's why your mother got fainted when she saw the blood on the wall." He nodded.
"She knows that the demon found me, and she knows that I called my father." Miranda smiled, thinking of her long-lost beautiful mother.
"I missed you so much, you know?" He pull her in for a bug hug.
She sighed in relaxation and wrap her arms up to his back, burying her face onto his wide and strong shoulder.
"Yeah, me too."
