Chapter two ~ What's going on?

Marinette practically jumped to her feet. This was strange and so she eagerly leaned over her desk to see if the akuma victim was nearby. A few people were standing outside the classroom, they had paused in shock at the sight of Chloe but apart from that there was no obvious akuma. Looking back to Chloe she realised Adrien was helping Chloe to her feet. She knew they had been childhood friends but the sight of the blond boy helping the class bully made her slightly jealous.

Her mind spun with confusion. She needed to do something but how could she stop an akuma if she didn't know what they looked like. She needed to become Ladybug so she could find this akuma. The bakers daughter was about to rush around the desk and to the toilets to transform when she felt Alya grab her arm.

"Girl, what are you doing?" Alya asked, worry filled her eyes. Her hand was still gripped on Marinettes arm. Marinette turned around to meet her friends eyes. She felt bad but she needed to transform... or at least see who was around. But Alya was still being persistent. "I know you don't like to  be around when an akuma attacks but so far it's all safe in here,"

Marinette glanced from side to side to think of an excuse before she sighed. "Alya... I... I just have to go..." she mumbled before pulling away her arm and dashing around Chloe and Adrien. Chloe was currently hugging Adrien whilst crying dramatically on his shoulder. Adrien was standing awkwardly whilst trying to comfort the crying gir- um Chloe. Marinette just sighed and tried to ignore it as she rushed down the corridor. It was empty due to most people being in class. This is exactly what she had hoped not to find as she had no idea what kind of akuma it was now. She didn't even know who to ask either. How ever much Alya had wanted to care for her, Marinette wished she hadn't as it had given the akuma time to get away. Tikki peeked out of her bag. The red kwamis eyes were wide as she stared up at Marinette.

"We need to transform, you can't let them get away," Tikki warned as she twitched inside the bag. She was eager to get to transform, which was in a way out of character. She was usually pretty calm but right now she seemed just as anxious as Marinette had been earlier. Marinette assumed she could sense the oddness in the atmosphere too.

Without waiting much longer, the pigtailed girl dashed across the hall to the bathroom. Once she reached the bathroom, she slammed the door behind her and leant against it. It took her a few seconds to catch her breath but once she did she turned to Tikki. "Tikki spots on..." she said calmly to her friend, closing her eyes as the red sparks swirled around her. She opened her eyes once she felt the fabric change around her into that of her costume. She let out and smile of relief before heading over to the bathroom window and pushing it open.

The cool breeze of the city day greeted her as she pulled herself out of the window and took her yoyo onto her palm. Tightening it around her finger, she sent it into the skyline before zooming through the city and against another building. She spun around again and shot to the top of the school roof so she could look around to see if anything suspicious was going on nearby. To her disappointment everything seemed normal... she had hoped something would lead her to this supposed akuma. So far the only proof she had about their actually being an akuma was after what happened to Chloe. She sighed and rested her legs over the edge of the building. And idea then came to mind. She could talk to Chloe about what she saw.

Leaping down from the roof, she zipped into the school ground before heading towards the classroom. The second she walked in there was cheers and gasps, as well as a few 'ladybugs' being whispered around the room. To her annoyance she found Chloe was no longer in the class and as well as that, neither was Adrien. Turning to the nearest person to her, which happened to be Nino, she asked. "Hey do you know where Chloe went,"

Nino grinned to Ladybug. "Yeah dude, she just went home, I guess you know what happened to her," he said casually to the girl. From the corner of her eye, she noticed Alya recording the conversation on her phone. Turning to the camera she waved before flinging her yoyo out the window and tugging it so she went flying away.

It wasn't long before she reached Chloe's family hotel. She was instantly let through the front door and was greeted by a butler. "Miss Ladybug! You must come upstairs at once!"

Ladybug nodded to the worker before rushing through the floor and upstairs to Chloe's room. As she stepped inside she saw Chloe sitting calmly on her bed. It was a really odd sight considering what she had seen a while ago. "Chloe?-"

Chloe glanced over and jumped. "Ladybug! This is amazing!" They said in awe. Ladybug blinked as Chloe spoke. She still wasn't used to the deeper voice. What Chloe said next shocked her. "And Chloe? Seriously... I don't understand why everyone is calling me that... my names Clovis,"

"Huh? But-" Ladybug blinked. Something was extremely off. She wondered if this was part of the akumas power. "Chlo- um Clovis... can I ask you about what you saw earlier... you know before you... ah-"

"Why hello My Lady, fancy seeing you here," the familiar playful voice of Chatnoir was heard from behind her. Ladybug turned around in shock. She hadn't expected to see her partner so quickly. She smiled in relief, she was glad she had her partner to help her.

Chloe or now Clovis was grinning from where he was sitting. "Both of you! Oh we've got to take a selfie together!" Clovis grinned before snapping a picture of the three on his phone with him posing in the corner of the photo. Ladybug sighed at the fact that Clovis was no different to Chloe personality wise.

Ladybug turned to Chat. "We need to talk... have you seen the akuma yet? Because I haven't, and it's starting to worry me," the girl stressed to her partner. Chat rested his hand on her shoulder comfortingly and smiled.

"Don't worry my lady, we'll find this akuma victim soon," He comforted with his classic confident grin on his face. It was then Clovis decided to put and input in.

"Oh an akuma victim? I sure one of those this morning," he said so casually he was practically yawning. Both the superheroes heads turned to him. In half relief, half shock.

"Really? Um... Clovis, can you describe this akuma?" Ladybug asked, taking a seat next to the male Chloe. She was desperate to hear what they had to say and so Clovis opened their mouth and started to explain.
