Chapter 8

Kevin opened his eyes, he was still in that room where he was earlier, still attached, but this time to an iron wire. He had no chance to escape. The speaker was placed near him repaired.
"I told you that you can not escape." said the man speaking through the speaker.
"But ... I beg you, release me." begged Kevin, crying.
"I can not, I'll have to keep you longer because you tried to escape." Kevin forced on the iron wire but it was impossible to tear it off. "It can not happen, it's a nightmare." Kevin repeated to himself.
"You have to stay here, because you'll help me out of here alive, right?" Said the man with a more serious voice. "How?" The door to the room opened. Kevin was scared that he was an animatronic.
"I will explain you." said the man, and the discussion stopped. The man did not answer anymore. Kevin did not know what to do. Suddenly, he made someone come from the dark behind the door.
"No, no," Kevin said. The figure approached and showed himself, it was a man wearing a mask, a mask of a puppet.
"First, do not scream and listen to me." said the man behind the mask. Kevin was very scared.
"I turned on the gas, this gas will spread throughout the building in about 20 minutes.If this gas spreads everywhere, everyone will die.I will send a signal to your friends to find you here and you will say do not take the elevator to get out but a ladder hidden in a wall to get out, I'll take the elevator and I'll get out of here, then it will be you, ok? If you denounce me to your friends or you refuse I will disable the elevator and I will not tell you where the ladder is and we will all die here, did you understand? " Kevin answered quickly yes because he did not want to die.
"But why ... you did not go out before, I mean you do not need us to take the elevator." Kevin said.
"When we enter this building, we do not come out anymore, only if someone takes the ladder and the elevator at the same time, the creation will be lost and will not attack anyone." replied the man. "What creation?" Kevin asked scared. "You're wasting your time, you have 18 minutes left." The man with the mask left and pushed a button, it sounded an alarm where Kevin was surely to warn his friends where Kevin was.

"You hear?" Susie asked "Sounds like an alarm"
"Maybe it's Kevin!" said Julian.
"How do you know, maybe it's something else." Answered Max
"It's coming from the first floor! We have to go see!" exclaimed Elise. They all went to floor 1 quickly. "It's coming from the left, behind this wall," Julian said. Max took an iron bar and hit the wall until it collapsed. Behind the wall was a long corridor.
"HEY! JULIAN! SUSIE!" Shouted a voice that was Kevin's.
"It's Kevin!" Elise shouted. They all ran to the room where Kevin was, they saw Kevin tied to a wire, Max hit the wire mettalic until it breaks.
"It's good, are you okay?" Julian asked, hugging Kevin.
"I'm fine, we need to get out of here quickly! The gas is spreading!"
"what gas?" Susie asked.
"A gas is spreading all over the building, we have to evacuate quickly or we'll choke on it, Max coughs.
"That's right, it smells bad here",Max said, coughing.
"We need Daniel," Susie said. They ran to the elevator, and pressed the button on stage 2.
"Go quickly!" Kevin screamed, the elevator door opened but Daniel was not there.
"Where did he go? Susie asked, suddenly the ventilation tunnels opened and let the gas in. They all coughed at the same time.
"The air is poisoned. Run hide in the elevator and go down to floor 0! Maybe Daniel's down there," Susie said,
"No, we need to go downstairs and take the ladder," Kevin interrupted, and they entered the elevator,.
"which ladder? "Max asked. "You'll see, follow me". They entered the code to go to floor 2. The elevator door opened, there was a ladder next to the elevator.
"How is that possible? She was not here before," Susie asked, and they ran to the ladder,
"And Daniel? "Elise asked,
"We'll meet him later, we'll have to evacuate the building," Kevin replied. "I can not leave Daniel here, otherwise he'll die, it's my fault that he's here and I have to save him." Max said jumping off the ladder and running towards the elevator.
"No, Max come back!" Shouted Susie.
"I'll be back, I promise you Susie," Max said as she climbed the elevator.
Susie screamed, crying,
"Climb!" Julian shouted. "He'll come back, I'm sure," Julian comforted. They all climbed full in tears. The ladder stopped in a room on a parking lot.
"Where are we?" Elise asked.
"It's across the street from the building, look at the building!" Susie answered.
"Max, he is here, I see him by the window with Daniel!" yelled Kevin. "JUMP BY THE WINDOW!" Susie shouted.
"You're crazy, they'll die if they do that, they have to take the ladder!" Kevin shouted.
"They will not have time!" answered Julian.
"Call the police!" Elise shouted.
Kevin noticed the man who had just left the building but this time wearing a gas mask. He mail to the man and hit him with his elbow in his jaw. The man fell to the ground due to the pain. "You fool, you had a gas mask, you could have saved everyone! Why did you activate the gas?" Kevin yelled. The man did not answer and took off his gas mask. Susie noticed from a distance that it was Edward, the former employee.
"I'm going to kill you!" Kevin yelled at Edward. Edward gave a laugh.
"I turned on gas to destroy creation," Edward replied.
"Who is creation?" Kevin asked.
"It's the prison of the spirits, and now I have to destroy it."
"What?"
Edward lit a lighter that he took out of his pocket and lit a gas bottle that he threw inside the building.
"No!" yelled Kevin.
