I think this story really puts an emphasis on how popularity isn't everything, also how there is always more to someone then meets the eye. I really liked it and the message it sends to the reader and (as most of the stories I reccomend on here are) it's so adorable!

The Perks of Being a Social Butterfly by wheadee

"It's all a game until someone gets hurt"

When seventeen-year-old queen bee, Ashley Davidson finds herself dateless for junior prom, she proudly boasts to her friends that she can take any guy to the big event. But when her crafty best friend presents her with a wager she doesn't see coming, Ashley's faced with one dilemma: accept or back down. Refusing to give in, Ashley finds herself agreeing. The deal? She must help geek Duncan Finny trade his chess club crown for the Prom Prince title.

With his noncomformist attitude, and utter abhorrence for all things that is the social hierarchy of high school, Ashley's met with a major challenge when she realizes Duncan is much more than she anticipated. But once the two get to know each other and reach common ground, Ashley sees that there's more than meets they eye with Duncan, and the queen bee of Jefferson High suddenly finds herself falling head over deal for the king of the chess club.

3/4/13- Chapters 12 - the end were not edited.
