Chapter 2
"Miss Lola Lenwood, it's time for you to wake up." one of my maids said.
My eyes fluttered open but then they quickly snapped shut at the bright light.
I groaned and rolled to the left, "I want to sleep more."
"It's your first day of school Miss. You don't want to be late."
Just like that all my sleepiness disappeared and was replaced with dread and excitement. Dread because school was going to be so boring without stirring up trouble but excitement because well school may suck but the first day is always sort of fun.
It had been two weeks since Elena's money had been taken away just as mine had. The only difference was I had promised to stay out of trouble. And so far, I was keeping to that promise.
"Okay. Thank you." I said, getting out of bed. She nodded and left my room, closing the door behind her. I did my normal morning routine (brushing my teeth, combing my hair, washing my face etc.) and then went into my closet.
Our school had a uniform. Originally it had been very strict and you actually had to buy the uniform from the school store but after many complaints from the students, the school changed the dress code. Basically girls can either wear a skirt and a nice shirt or pants (no jeans) and a nice top but the top has to be light and the bottom has to be dark. Guys have to wear khakis and a dress shirt, the bottom has to be light and the top has to be dark [opposite of the girls.]
I put on a navy blue plaid skirt with brown stripy thingies, a white button up top, and a plaid tie on top. I threw on some chocolate brown ankle booties and a couple bracelets. All designer of course.
Then I rushed into my bathroom and applied makeup. Just a little bit of mascara and lipgloss. I sprayed on my signature scent - strawberries and champagne. Elena bought me the lotion, body spray, and perfume from Victoria's Secret. According to Elena, it was very important to have one scent unique to you.
I argued, saying if something was at Victoria's Secret a ton of other girls are bound to smell like me but she ignored me.
Going back into my room, I picked up my leather bag which had my school supplies in it. This was one of the first times I had actually brought my stuff to school. In the past years, I had just skipped classes so I didn't really have a reason to bring my pencils and crap like that.
I looked myself over in my full length mirror. My golden blonde hair was in natural waves and my ocean blue eyes popped against my mascara. I smacked my pouty lips together to fix my lipgloss. The skirt definitely showed off my long legs and the snug shirt accentuated my good figure.
I'm not clueless. I know I'm easy on the eye. But I also know I'm not perfect. I have my flaws and by no means am I the most gorgeous girl in the world.

I drove myself to school. First I saw a sign that said 'St. Francis Upper School'. It just made everything more real. School was starting again. No more lighting papers on fire or swearing at teachers.
I reached the gate to our school and slowed down. Two body guards searched swiftly through my car while I handed the man in the booth my student ID. The security was high at our school because many important people came here.
But if you're like me then you know how to leave school grounds and bypass security easily. I smirked to myself at the thought.
The bodyguards finished their search and the man handed my ID back. I thanked him and continued driving into my school's beautiful campus.
