Chapter 10

Rose pov

I hear footsteps approaching and try to lift my head to look but I'm to weak to even do that. So I just lay there waiting for the pain. But it never came. I gathered all my strength and looked up, only to stare straight into those icy blue orbs that for some reason made me feel safe. That was the last thing I saw before my world faded away.

Damon pov (after he found her)

I froze on the spot seeing her lay on the floor so still. I thought she was dead, but when I listened closely I could make out a faint heartbeat. I slowely walked over to her and stopped next to her. I saw her looking up at me and I stared into her eyes. She looked as if she was dead inside. Just an empty shell. Then she fainted again. My eyes scanned her body for the damages, untill I saw the blood on her thighs. Those bastards raped her? They will pay.

I gently picked her up in my arms and she let out a whimper. Even in her sleep she is feeling pain. I'll have to do a more thorough search at the castle, but right now I must kill all the demons that turned against me.

I gently put her down on my soft bed. I noticed the bruises everywhere on her body and looked for broken bones. Rage was building up in me as I found one broken bone after the other. Luckily the blood between her legs was just some minor cuts and not what i thought.I wish I kept them alive so that they could die a slow and painfull death.

Rose pov

I woke up, but all was black. I tried again and this time my eyes opened. Where am I? Last thing I remember was passing out after seeing those blue eyes. I looked around when my eyes cought a figure next to the bed. I reached out and stroked the softest hair I have ever felt. It was like stroking a cloud. He began to stir and lifted his head. I got spooked so I quickly withdrew my hand. Hissing as I only now remember the pain. I looked up again expecting him to be angry at me. But what I saw in his eyes instead was concern.

It shocked me for a moment but I quickly covered it up. The next moment my body moved on its own and did the last thing I'd expect. I fell into Damon's chest and started crying. We were both taken back by my sudden actions but he eventually put his arms around me and held me close to his heart.
