Yoongi looks around his place realizing how vacant it is. He didn't think it was that empty, but he didn't have much. He shrugs it off hoping that no one thinks too much into it like he has. There is an open wall in his living room that has a good place for a vertical piano. He sits on his couch and looks down at his clothes. He noticed that he never changed out of the outfit he wore coming home from the hospital yesterday. He quickly goes into his bedroom and tries to find an outfit. He grabs a dark long sleeve shirt and ripped jeans with a pair of boots. As he fumbles to put his boots on the door bell rang. He finished slipping his heel into the shoe and quickly opened the door. Hoseok was standing behind the door with his hands in his pockets.
"So are you ready?" He asked Yoongi while gesturing his head out the door.
Yoongi nodded as he locks the door. "Yeah. Lets go." They head to Yoongi's old rusted-looking truck. It takes a couple tries to get it started, but it eventually did. He sighs as he backs up the truck. "So. where are we going?" Yoongi asked.
Hoseok pointed for Yoongi to turn. "My neighbor has a piano she never uses anymore and has been trying to give it to me for a while. I keep telling her I can't play piano." He shakes his head. "That old lady won't listen to me."
Yoongi just nodded at the story. "Is it in tune?"
"How should I know? I never touched it. Go left."
He nods again. "Ah.. okay." It's not a problem if it isn't tuned, Yoongi can tune it. Though he thought it would be nice if he didn't have to take his time to do it.
They drive in silence again, while the radio is on low. They get to the house in a decent time. They enter the house and nicely greet the older woman.
She shows them the piano. "Here it is sweetie." she pulls out the bench for Yoongi.
He gives her a soft smile and sits down at the piano. It was a upright piano. Brown, just like the one he grew up with. He smiled softly as he ran his hands over the keys, knocking the dust off of them. The woman encourages him to play something. He improvises and plays a soft yet dark sounding tune. It is highly out of tune, but nothing like a few hours and a tuner wont hurt. He slowly fades it out as he reminisces in his past. He turns around on the stool and sees the other two sitting on the couch speechless. Hoseok's mouth was even slightly open in awe. Yoongi clears his throat. "I'll take it." He smiles politely at the old woman. The two boys slowly took the piano into the truck being careful with the awkward weight and slid it in the back. Luckily it fit. Yoongi thanked the woman.
"Hey" Hoseok tapped Yoongi's shoulder. "That's my house, I'd like to get something, if you don't mind, You can head inside with me if you want."
So Yoongi went in with him because he didn't have anything else to do. He waited in the living room for a while. He saw a lot of photos of Hoseok and this girl. At first he thought she was his girlfriend, but she looked too similar to him, so it must be his sister. His thoughts get stopped by a loud cough coming from the other room. A woman came out from the kitchen and she jumped.
"Ah!" She put her hand to her heart. "I haven't seen you before! You must be the new kid Hobi wont stop talking about!"
He holds his hand out for a handshake to be polite. "Hello, I'm-"
She took his hand and pulled him into a hug. He stood there with his arms stuck under her tight hug. He had many thoughts running through his head. The loudest one was, how can I get out of this mess? Then Hoseok turns the corner and he sighs. Yoongi mouthed to Hoseok "Help. Me."
So he intervened. "Moomm.. don't smother the poor guy, he doesn't even know you. Come on Yoongi we have a piano to set up!" He pried Yoongi from his mothers grasp and held onto his arm until they got to the truck.
"Thanks for the help. I was very confused.." Yoongi said as he turned on the truck.
Hoseok laughs in response. "Yeah... my mom and I are pretty affectionate."
They start going back to Yoongi's house and he has a question he just has to ask: "So... Hobi..?"
Hoseok looked out the window and blushed. "Yeah.. my family has called me that for a long time."
Once they got to the house they quickly got the piano in place exactly where he wanted it. They both flopped onto the couch and sighed in unison. Yoongi chuckled to himself. "Hey," Hoseok said, slightly out of breath from lifting. "Can I have some water?"
"Oh, yeah. I'll go get you some." Yoongi got up and went into his kitchen and grabbed his single glass cup and filled it with water from the sink. He glanced back at his kitchen before he left it, seeing how lonely his place really looked. He only has one of each thing in his kitchen because he never has company. He shakes his head and gives him the glass. "I hope you don't mind, its just tap water."
Hoseok drinks it without answering. "You should work on that piano. What were you playing earlier?"
"Oh.." Yoongi rubs the back of his neck. "That was just me doing some improv."
"So you are telling me.. that what you played... was you just messing around on the keys?"
"... That's what improv means.."
"Well I already know that!"
Yoongi grabs his piano tuner kit and starts tuning the piano by ear. Hoseok sits down beside him to watch. Yoongi is cautious with the close proximity. He doesn't like peoples touch. But Hoseok continues to be as close as possible to him, without touching.
Hoseok tilts his head. "How are you doing this?"
"I'm just going by ear." Yoongi says as he accidentally bumps his arm on Hoseoks. He flinches and pulls away.
"Wow, that's amazing." He watches for a bit. Then he grabs Yoongi's arm and Yoongi instantly pulls away. "Hey.. have you switched your bandages since you got home?"
He looks down at his bandages and shakes his head. "I mean.. I have only been home for a day."
"You were told to change them once or twice. A day." Hoseok gets up and looks around Yoongi's place. "Hey, where's your bathroom? Where are the bandages you need to replace with?"
"I.. didn't bring them home...." Yoongi kept his head down and was still tuning.
Hoseok sighed. "Alright. I'll be right back." He took his keys and went off for a while. So Yoongi continued working on the keys.
Hoseok came back a few minutes later and slams the door open. "Doctor Jung is in the building!" He directly went to Yoongi and started to help change his bandages. "I saw them do this so many times. One of the few times they did it when you were still unconscious, and they taught me how to do it for you. I'm glad they did."
Yoongi looked up at him and they met eyes. It was the first time he really looked in his eyes. His eyes were dark but they pulled you in. He looked back down quickly and cleared his throat. "Thanks..... Hobi."
