☆Jimin
"Call me hyung." The words were simple. There wasn't anything too exciting or too scary about them, but somehow, tears sprang into Taehyung's eyes. "What?" He asked sniffing. "Call me hyung?" Jimin repeated confused as to why Taehyung looked like he was about to cry.
Taehyung sniffed. "W-why?" He asked his voice breaking. "'Cause I'm older." Jimin replied in a 'duh' tone. It's second period math, and third grade isn't the best year for the two. A tear slipped down Taehyung's cheek. Jimin chuckled awkwardly. "Why are you crying?" He asked furrowing his eyebrows. Taehyung whipped his tears away.
"Are you saying you don't wanna be my friend?" Taehyung asked quietly. Jimin shook his head. "Why would you think
that Taehyungie?" Jimin asked.
"B-because I thought me not calling you hyung meant that our friendship was special." He said looking at the math problems in front of him as if trying to concentrate on them.
Jimin looked at the own math problem in front of him.
3 x 2 ÷ 2
For some reason, he hated that equation and for some reason, it felt as it was more than it just being math. "Our friendship is special." Jimin said pouting. He closed his text book not wanting to see that stupid equation.
"It doesn't seem like it." Taehyung said.
"What?" Jimin asked. "Taehyung that's so stupid I've known you since kindergarten we're best friends—"
"What about Hoseok or Jungkook?" Taehyung asked. "They seem more like your best friends than me. You only ever talk to me when you go to see Soonshim or when Hoseok and Jungkook aren't talking to you. Or like now, when you can't understand the math lesson." Taehyung said and there was so much sadness laced in those words. And it hurt. Not only Taehyung, but also Jimin.
"I—I..." Jimin trailed off as he couldn't find an excuse. So it'd been true. Hanging out with Taehyung so much made Jimin kind of sick of him. Sick of him in a way he couldn't describe. He didn't hate Taehyung, but having him around made him feel weird. So he didn't like hanging out with him because of that.
"We're better off as friends." Taehyung said giving Jimin a tear filled smile. "Hyung." He added. Picking up his math text book, Taehyung walked away from Jimin and that was the last time Kim Taehyung and Park Jimin were caught around each other in their grade.
Jimin sighed knowing he'd done wrong, but being without Taehyung was better right?
Wrong.
