I get up from my bed all grumpy and tired, then remembered that I have Izuku waiting for me. I quickly release myself from my blankets and head to the kitchen. 'He must be hungry.' I think to myself. 'He didn't eat much last night since he passed out.' I make him a big breakfast, and carry it in a tray down to the basement. I made sure he'd be comfortable, but couldn't get away. We had an old couch and coffee table we stopped using and decided to put it in the basement, since my old hag didn't want to get rid of them. I took the TV and the stand from my room downstairs too. I could just watch TV in the living room if I felt like it. It was a bitch and a half trying to get those shackles and drill them into the wall, but I managed. Other than that, there was pretty much nothing else in there except for a couple of boxes he wouldn't be able to reach since I put them behind the TV. It was worth it. Being able to be with him like this was definitely worth it. I've been a pretty shitty person to him most of his life, so I knew that he would reject me if I simply tried to confess. I need to prove it to him. Prove that I can be someone that makes him happy no matter what. He'll understand soon enough....right?
As I'm waking down the steps, I see that Izuku is still sleeping. I quietly set the tray down and turned on the TV. Unfortunately, the damn thing was on high volume the last time it was used. When the noise started blasting, Izuku nearly jumped off the couch. It was fucking hilarious, but I didn't let it show. Nothings' gonna get better if I make him feel insecure.
"My bad Izuku, didn't realize it was that loud." I said to him.
"Uhh. It's fine." He replies while rubbing his eyes, trying to wake up. 'He looks so fucking adorable.' I think. As he lifts his body up, I sit beside him and bring the breakfast tray closer to us.
"Got you something to eat if you're hungry." I tell him.
"Oh wow. That's a lot, Kacchan. I don't know if I can finish all that."
"That's fine. Just eat till you're full." I say to him. As he starts to eat, I can see his face full of fear and concern. I sigh deeply, and let my body fall onto the couch.
"Don't worry Izuku, I won't lay a finger on you. This isn't some new form of torture or anything like that." I say. He stops eating and looks at me, lifting his arms up and showing me his shackles. I narrow my eyes at him.
"How can you say that when I'm locked in here like some prisoner? Please Kacchan, just let me go and I'll forget this ever happened." He says. I stay quiet, feeling my blood start to boil. I won't hurt him though, I won't harm him in any way.
"Then what?" I ask him.
"Huh?"
"You'll most likely keep your mouth shut, but afterwards I bet you won't even speak not one word to me. Hell, you'll probably never even look my way. I can't have that. I can't!" I start to yell, banging my hands on the coffee table. When I look at him, he has one arm guarding his face, and the other balled up in a fist. I take a deep breath.
"Didn't you hear me, or are you just deaf? I said I wouldn't hurt you." I say to him, but he continues to keep his guard up. I curse myself for being so reckless, then I get up from the couch.
"Sorry, I'll just check up on you later."
"What?! Wait a minute!" Izuku yells. I soon feel his soft hands grab onto mine. As much as I liked it, I decided to turn around and shake him off. I keep my head down as I talk to him.
"Eat your food Izuku, just try to relax. Put on a hero movie or something." I say with a cracked voice. I turn back around and continue to the steps. 'Fuck! Why?' I think to myself. 'Why the fuck am I like this?!' I end up letting a few tears fall down the sides of my cheeks, and start to rush up the rest of the stairs. Slamming the door, I lean onto it and slide to the floor. I sit there for awhile, doubting if I even deserve someone like him.
After two hours or so, I feel like I'm ready to face him again. I bring down some chips and my game station with a couple of games I know he likes.
"K-Kacchan!" I hear him say while I'm walking down the steps.
"What? You miss me already?" I say teasingly, not really expecting a good response. Though surprisingly, I manage to get to him.
"Wha-! It's not like that!" He yells with a blush on his cheeks. I smile, and he starts blushing even more. As if he just realized what he was doing, he turns his face away from me. Putting his hands on his knees, he stares at the floor nervously.
"I brought some snacks and games. Wanna play?" I ask. His cute antics fade away, and he starts to get sad again.
"Look Kacchan, this is all really unnecessary, please just let me go. I'll spend time with you, I promise I will. There's no reason I wouldn't want to. But treating me like this isn't going to make me love you, it'll just have the opposite effect." He says.
"Yet you're saying you'd hang out with me?" I protest.
"For now, yes. If you keep this going then my decision will most likely change. I don't see how this will end well for either of us."
"Ha! Don't underestimate me, Izuku. I'll most definitely prove that theory wrong." I say.
"No, wait Kacchan. This isn't a challenge! This-"
"Look. Just-!" I start to yell. I quickly check myself, and begin to talk again. "Just let me do this. Please. I swear you'll be happy by the end of all this. If you're not, I'll never bother you again." I tell him, already scared of failing. His shocked face calms down, and he eventually shakes his head in agreement.
"Alright then, but I have one condition." He says.
"Hah?" I exclaim. He lifts his arms up and looks at me pleadingly.
"Take the shackles off my arms at least."
"Do you think I'm that du-"
"I can barely put my arms down like this!"
"Then I'll just move everything a little further into the room." I tell him.
"It's not about that Kacchan. I don't want to feel like I'm forced to be here like I already am. I want to feel welcomed and cared for! How on earth are we gonna connect better if I'm locked up in these? At least take them off of my wrists. Please Kacchan." He begs. Considering his words, I do as he asks, deciding to trust him. He does deserve better treatment, I'll give him that. When I take them off, he lets out a sigh of relief.
"Thank you Kacchan." He says. I instantly hug him, making him all flustered.
"Feel welcome now?" I ask mockingly. I hear him whine and then feel his arms hugging me back. I admit, it felt really nice. After our little embrace, Izuku picks a game and we start to play. The rest of the day going exactly how I wanted it to.
