When we touch down at base my theatre director/mission director is there to meet us. Which can be good or bad or both? Why? Well, it could be a good job excellent work everyone hurrah. Or you're all on probation. Or both. Never know. Unlike most people, you can't read into Mrs. Lance's facial expression she amazing at hiding her emotions.

"Girls," Mrs. Lance said. Logan coughs, "and Logan, good job on the mission even though there were some setbacks." She gives Morgan (Nemo) a stern look because she was the navigator. Grant it was her first time being on the field so I knew Lance would cut her some slack and we all got out okay and overall the mission was a success.

Morgan mumbles a quick "sorry" and if we weren't all spies no one would've heard.

Lance looks back to Morgan after discussing some stuff with Lydia (Rainbow) who's also my BFF. "It's fine but it doesn't happen again or next time probation." she then turns to me. "I assume you gave Morgan a slight punishment."

"Yes, ma'am, single detention and a lecture normal procedure for the first mess up. She can pick the time when I get to my office and look at the calendar." I respond. I know that seems kind of cruel maybe and I know I said she'd be fine. Detention isn't that bad and it's spy detention which is a lesson on what you messed up and how to fix it. Detention just sounds more professional than fix what you screwed up class. Plus it scares the newbies. I know again seems cruel but it's one way for them to learn this isn't some game its life or death and it's very very real and can get you killed in painful and awful ways if you treat it as a silly game and don't take it seriously.

Now that we've gotten the depressing life or death speech. How about how my life normally is. Trust me when I say there's no such thing as normal for me. From what I understand as a normal day of school let's just say mines not, nope, nada, no way.

I have my normal classes like everyone else but we also have spy classes, disguised as theatre class and on top of that we have to learn theatre information, to you know pass it off as an actual theatre class. Some of my other classes also double as spy classes, for example, my chemistry class on Tuesday's and Thursday's we learn about poisons and bombs and stuff like that. In gym class on those same days, we learn about different types of combat. The classes we're in are specifically for us during certain periods, so theirs never any non-spy students. If it wasn't obvious all the teachers know about the spy program at our school. Of course, it's not just ours but every school in our district, we will sometimes work with the other school's teams for different missions depending on the skill set we need.

Now the day back from that mission was a particularly non-normal non-normal day if that makes any sense. We had two new students to our spy program, from out of state. It's also the day I figured out that every state has a program set up like ours. But let me tell you something about these new students. They are the most snotty and pompous boys I've ever met, and on top of it, they're identical twins. I can promise you I'll never be able to tell them apart. Now I know what you're all thinking well are they really that snotty and pompous. The answer YES! Let me tell you about our introduction in chemistry today. It should explain everything.

(After the mission back in class, it's chemistry. Joy *note the sarcasm*)

Their names are Kevin and Jacob Anderson, and they will be the bane of my existence. When they walk into to our science class, my initial thought was hey new teammates that cool. Well, I was wrong and here's why.

Ms. Gemstone, "Hello class, today we have two new students joining your team. They're from Jamestown, Tennessee and where in a program a lot like ours. Please be welcoming to them and if they need help catching up, Arden, I hope you will help them."

"Of course I will." I'm the team leader, so it comes with the job, plus I like helping people.

Jacob, "I think will be fine Ms. Gemstone, but thank you and Arden for the offer of help."

"Okay, but if you need something even if it's directions just ask." Suuuuurrreee you won't need help dude really, I kind of doubt that. I have a photographic memory and even I got lost on my first day.

Kevin, "So this is a class of all spies right, so who's team leader."

I feel because Ms. Gemstone addressed me directly about helping the new students that it was kind of obvious that I was the team leader. "Me, I'm the team leader."

Kevin burst out laughing, " You! but you're a girl and definitely, don't possess any of the qualities of a leader. I mean come on you expect me to believe..." He didn't get past their because I punched him in the face. Let me tell you I can punch really really hard when I'm pissed, and I was beyond pissed. I feel kind of bad about it now, but then I remember what he said and the feelings were gone. I just don't understand how someone could be so judgmental. I have, since I became the team leader, faced prejudice because I'm the first girl team leader at for one of these programs. So I have everyone's eyes on me and I don't need my teammates doubting my abilities. I feel like I can never win, I not only have to be as good of team leader I have to be better. Well, apparently there's no pleasing anyone these days.

I glance over and the annoying brat is rubbing his jaw and glaring at me. I glare right back and in a deadly calm voice say, "now listen here, you sexist, I was appointed team captain because I beat everyone else here in the test for it. So you can't tell me that I shouldn't be team captain because I'm a girl. The first girl captain in the history of this program. I'm sorry I don't meet up with your expectations of what sex a captain should be but as long as your here you don't get much of a say. So deal with it!" I turn my attention to my team mates. "Logan take Kevin here to the nurse." He nods in response.

My teacher Ms. Gemstone, is smirking at me, "You know, Arden, I'm going to have to report this to Ms. Lance."

"I know," great now the idiot's got me into trouble with Lance, could my day get any worse. I should've never asked myself that because right then and there I jinxed myself.

That is why ladies and gentlemen I don't like the new kids, well specifically Kevin, Jacob's alright, he tried to apologies for his brother. So I guess I don't really hate new kids, just Kevin.
