Zeke

"Were here." Dad said as he stepped on the brakes. "Zeke, take Clarisse inside and tour her around. The maids know where her room is. But you tour her first, understood?"

I nodded, but it does not mean I agree. I don't want to waste my time touring a stranger around the house. Maybe I'll just let the maids take care of her. But protesting to Dad is looking for another moon.

"Yes, Dad. But where are you heading?"

"Your Mom and I needs to meet an important client."

I jumped out of the car to open the door for Mom and Cleo. When Mom's finally inside the front seat, Dad drove away.

I took a deep breath and faced Clea. "I'll order the maids to tour you. Never enter my room without my permission. And I don't want to hear your noise inside the house, understood?" I ordered, with full authority.

"P-pero po.... d-diba, s-sabi ni—"

"No buts, Clea. Just get inside already."

"C-cleo po K-kuya Zeke."

"Cleo, Clea, whatever. Just. Get inside already!" I shouted. Guess she's really stubborn.

"Okay po." Tsk.

"And drop the po!"

She hurriedly walked through the front door and knocked. "It's open." I said. She tried opening the door, looking for a knob maybe? But our door is a sliding one so it only has a handle. She grabs it and pulls. She also tried pushing it as hard as she could but to no avail. I was just watching her all the while she was struggling.

"Hindi naman eh." I pushed her aside and slid the door to the left, leaving her mouth sightly open. Tsk. So stupid.

"Mauna na'ko sa kwarto ko." I let it out softly. "Morgianna?" One of our maids came into my sight. "Tour her around. Take her to her room." Then I walked out of their faces.

Hah! This is a tough day.

Drea rushes in front of her house, bringing an umbrella with her, to check on him. He was soaking wet because of the rain. But something's odd. The liquid flowing on his face isn't rain, nor was it sweat.

But tears.

Drea's eyes began to shed tears too. She was mourning for the death of their relationship. They didn't even thought that the turn of events would be that mind-blowing. She hugged him and cried. Not even a word came out even though she wanted to tell him so many things.

Ez cries like a kid as Drea tried her best to tighten her grip to him. Very tight that he could not even breathe, but it's alright. It's alright for him. Because the longer he feels that tight hug she was giving, the lighter his burden become.

And the tighter she hugs, the more he thinks they're not yet over.

"Drea?"

"Sshhh. It will all be alright Ez. It will be fine."

"But why is this happening?"

"It's meant to happen."

"Why can't we change it?!" Ez bursted. He could not contain what he's feeling. The rage. Confusion. Sadness.

He felt betrayed.

"Drea, let's change it. Let's change all of this. We could survive. I feel betrayed Drea. They played us. Fate played us. We could avenge. Let's fix it, babe. I love you." Ez hopelessly cried. "I can't let you go."

"You have to, Ez. We have to. We can't fix it anymore. What fate did is intangible. It's done. We're done. Were over." Drea cried. "Indeed, fate played us well."

"Don't say that, babe. Don't say we're over. This isn't over. We weren't done. Let's fix it. Let's fight together. Please, please babe."

"No Ez. This is goodbye." She released Ez. She has know him as a positive person. Seeing him in this situation makes her feel sad. "Move on. I love you so much. Take care of yourself, babe."

I closed my laptop as I wiped the tears all over my face. Why did I even write this novel?

Three years? Haven't I moved on?

I stood up from the chair in front of my study table, where I was writing, and slowly walked to my bed. I sat down there, facing the door, feet flat against the floor.

Suddenly more tears came. I didn't bother to wipe them because I'll just be wasting time. I slowly, slowly, lied down, feet still flat against the floor.

*knocks*

Made me wipe it all.
