* Jane's P.O.V. * (10 years old)

It's been three years since my mother left my at the station. I'll never forget that day.

'flashback'

The firefighters found me outside crying and asked me if I was lost. How was I supposed to tell them that my own mother left me here because she didn't want me anymore.

" Help...me" were the only words I could muster through my tears. They took me inside and called a social worker who brought me to this weird thing called a foster home. But I didn't stay their for long I got moved around a lot , why? How should I know I'm just a kid I shouldn't be thinking about who wants me or why I keep getting a new "home."

'End of flashback'

Now I'm 10 and finally, sort of, settled into a foster home in the Bronx. I mean this is the longest I've been in a home so far, even though 4 months isn't that long, but I'm getting by with my new "siblings" Eric and Sam both boys who just can't stop running around the house and rough housing with each other. And then there's Nancy the "mom" of the house and she isn't to keen of the boys rough housing so she tries to stop them, but even when she does she still can't tell them apart.

(Don't mind the outfits I just found these boys so adorable I had to use them Eric is on the left Sam on the right)

Even though their twins I can tell them apart no matter what. And it's not cause I have a crush on Eric...wait...no... I didn't say that.

Shut up

Anyways here we are setting up the table to have lunch before the boys go off the park and try to force me to go but I just wanna stay home and watch tv. But they insist it's important to get "fresh air" and see the birds tweeting like ugh what are you a nature show.

"Jane please just come with us!" Eric said as we finally sat down to eat our sandwiches. "As I told you before no," Eric mumbled under his breath and started eating angrily. "Sam you can try talking two maybe she'll listen to you" he said as he looked into my eyes. Oh don't do that you butt, boys have cooties I shouldn't even be thinking about you. "Jane just come you know he's not gonna let this go and it'll be fun we'll even get you a ice cream." I thought about it hmm that does sound delicious and maybe hanging upside down on the monkey bars will get me to stop thinking about Eric. "Ugh fine I'll go but I'll be at the monkey bars the whole time."

Eric's jaw drops, "So that's all it took was bribing you? I could've did that," he huffs and finishes his sandwich Nancy chuckles as she watches the scene in front of her "You kids are to much oh and Eric," "Yeah" "You aren't going anywhere until the dishes are done it's your turn" and with that she stands up and puts her plate in the sink walking to the living room I assume to watch tv. I laugh knowing there were a lot of dishes and it would take him at least half hour to do them so I could go watch tv for a bit.
