3- Detention

Lauren walked into the theater groaning. "Can't we just run away!" She whisper-yelled to Normani.

"Ugh if we could I would but then we'd get suspended and that means-" Lauren sighed. "-no game I know".

"Ahhh wonderful for you ladies to finally join us" Mrs.Streep said handing Normani a paint brush and Lauren a paint can.

"Ms.Hamilton you can work on that tree over there with Ms.Jauregui, now chop chop!" The teacher said before hopping on stage.

"You heard her chop chop Laur!" Normani teased. Lauren giggled and followed her on stage.

As they sat there, painting and being bored out of their minds Lauren felt a pair of arms cling on to her neck and back.

"Who the fu-"  she heard a familiar giggle. "You have a really big potty mouth Lauren" Lauren smiled wide.

"Well you did startle me there" Lauren stated as a matter of factly. Camila chuckled "so Lauren since we didn't get to talk after our first period class maybe once school is over you could show me around?" Lauren turned to face the brunette and grinned.

"I'd love to" they stared into each other's eyes before someone cleared their throat. "Uh laur...I forgot we have practice today andddd...coach is gonna be pissed" Normani spoke nervously.

"Oh shit" Lauren sighed. "This is the time to work not to be chitty chatting!" Mrs.Streep angrily spoke.

"And Mrs.Hamilton this is the place of art not a hockey arena!" She took Normani's ball out of her hands.

Lauren and Camila both tried to stifle a laugh at the comment. Normani huffed and turned away before turning back around to greet camila. "Well anyway, I'm Normani ,Laurens best friend oh and Laurens been drooling about yo-" Lauren put a hand over her mouth as Camila blushed.

"Want me to call Dinah?" Normani shook her head furiously causing Lauren to giggle and withdraw her hand. "Good girl" Lauren praised Normani.

"Oh god you have a crush on Dinah?" Normani blushed at Camila's question. "yep she sure does and it's a pretty big one because I've never seen her like this before" Lauren chuckled.

"Ugh why did you tell me now I can't keep my mouth shut especially since we just saw each other again today!" Normani and Lauren gave a confused look to Camila.

"Oh" Camila snorted. "Long story but she's my best friend so..." the dark-skinned and green-eyed teens nodded. "Anywho your gonna have to keep your mouth shut unless you want my fist in yo' face" Normani joked causing Camila to laugh and give a small nod.

Meanwhile over at the gym Dinah's heart was racing as the coach blew the whistle.

"Alright wildcats we got a big game we need to prepare for and-" Coach Jauregui stopped mid-sentence, noticing he was missing two of his best players.

He sniffed frustratedly "where's Lauren and Normani?" Everyone stayed quiet and Dinah rubbed the back of her neck nervously.

He sighed "well?" Again, silence. He grew furious "IM NOT GONNA ASK AGAIN WHERE IS KORDEI AND MICHELLE!?" this time, as scared as possible the team replied.

"What!?" He lowered his tone. Everyone looked towards Dinah. Her eyes widened and shook her head if as to say 'not me'.

The blond rolled her eyes and sighed. "Their in detention Sir" she answered.

He nodded "Thank you Hansen, now in the meantime everyone thirdy suicides now!" The team groaned and began the exercises.

Dinah felt anxious yet, scared? Not for herself though, for Normani. What would the coach do? Wait no Dinah can't feel scared no! Ugh what's this girl doing to me, she thought.
