The brisk wind blowing her against the nape of her neck was soothing. It brought back memories of her dad, when he used to come up behind her while she was sitting down in their old Victorian home. He'd lean down and blow against her neck, trying to make her jump. She gazed down at the ground and the tips of her lips tilted up, but as soon as her smile came, it went away. Those memories shouldn't get in the way of her thinking. A clear mind was safer for her where she was headed. A mind ready for anything; death, betrayal, sorrow, and fright. Only a few bright spots remained in the gloomy town and they were slowly dimming. She shook her head from the mindless thinking and kept her pace on the old dirt road.

This old road was a bit hidden, more known amongst the few people who venture into the woods just outside the town. About two miles out from the beginning of the road was a fork in the road. One direction led to her childhood home, the other faded beneath the layers of oak leaves leading to town. Something more important though was off the main road. A sign, showing that she had begun her mission here, representing a new beginning. Right before she entered the forest she took an abrupt right towards the main road leading in. She had no intention of walking in along the main road, for she had no intention of drawing attention to herself. She needed to see this sign desperately. As she walked through the barely living grass, tracking mud over her combat boots, she clenched her fists as she heard a faint howl in the distance. She inhaled a deep breath and released her fists, continuing onward. The howl was probably a coyote’s scavenging for food. In her mind though, the howl meant someone knew she was here.

Standing directly in front of the sign, emotions of all sorts rushed around inside her body. Did she really want to do this? Was she ready to face reality? The worst feeling of all though, was the life she had ready to accept her once more? She sighed to herself, gaze locked on the sign. Standing there ten feet away from the sign, a gentle breeze of wind began to blow her long, thick, golden blonde hair off of her back. Her mind was a scrambled mess, no clear though sticking together, bits of pieces mushing together, and nothing was clear. After the terrible accident as a child she developed psychological issues, but they heightened to an extreme when her emotions were out of check. She let out a small breathe and covered her face with her hands. Those few words haunting her mind, did she make the correct choice coming back here? Only time could tell and she wouldn’t let these words waver her decision. She took her hands off of her face, crossing them across her chest as she stared at the sign that said, “Welcome to Beacon Hills!”

She ran her hand through her thick hair and walked back to the old dirt road. Walking through the woods brought back her serenity and harmony. Such a calming atmosphere to her, growing up she spent almost all of her spare time running these woods. As she kept walking over the thin layers of leaves, just beyond the horizon she could see the fork in the road. She wondered to herself if her brother still hovered around the burned down Victorian home. Though if he did, she would have to move around more quietly and avoid crunching the leaves below her boots. Derek did not need to know that she was back in town, for one she didn’t even know if he knew that she was alive. She kept on walking, more lightly, and turned right towards town. Her intentions were to enroll into Beacon Hills High and find every single man, woman, and child in this town that had burned her entire family alive and massacre them all to a bloody pulp.

Anger flustered images inside of her head. The gruesome images of her family burning alive, the sounds of their screaming as no one was there to save them, and worst of all the thought that she made it out alive and wasn’t able to save any of them. As her anger began to rise inside of her form, her inner beast began to rise as well. She stopped dead in her tracks and took in another deep breathe calming herself. She continued walking silently as she began to hear the town noises such as cars, voices, lawn mowers, and even police sirens. Her ears twitched as she noticed how close the sirens realistically were. Getting out of the forest was now her first priority. T first hand it is a simple task, but doing it unnoticed would take the level of difficulty up a few notches.
