"Y/N?" I feel water trickle over my face and a small pinch on my arm. "Y/N? Wake up!"
"Oww, Jesus Christ that hurts. Stop pinching me!"
"Woah you're awake. I was just trying to snap you out of it."
I groan as pain surges through every limb of my body and I remember what happened.
"How long was I out for?" I ask, trying to sit up but then realising I'm in way too much pain to move.
"About a minute. I thought you died." He looks so worried. "I'm going to ride you home."
"No!" I quickly object, which startled him. "Not home. Do you not know who I live with?" I raise my eyebrows at him.
"Oh. Yeah. Fine then, you're coming to my place, you need to be taken care of." He stands up and circles to the back of me. He bends down and places his arms around my middle and picks me up so I'm standing. It takes everything in me not to cry again, it feels like my body's broken. "You good?" He asks, I realise he's very close to me and as he says this I can feel his breath  on the side of my neck.
"Never been better."

He walks me to his bike and sits on it, "hop on, and make sure you hold on tight." I lightly place myself on the back of the bike and wrap my arms around his chest. My head rests on his back and I breath in, he smells like fresh laundry. "You ready, sweetcheeks?" He asks.
I giggle at this name, "sure am." As he sets off and goes faster I clutch him harder in fear of falling. It feels so comforting to be holding him like this, I haven't had anything close to a hug for as long as I can remember.
Since mum left.

I feel the warm summer air fly past my cheeks as we ride to Richie's house, even though I'm in the worst pain I've ever felt, I haven't been this happy in a long time. Richie Tozier is looking after me and being cared for is the best feeling ever.
"Why are you doing this for me?" I say to him.
"You saved me from your psychopath of a brother, it's my fault you're in this state."
"Fair enough. Thanks though. This means a lot."
He laughs, "I wouldn't have just left you to die in the forest."
I bury my head into his back again wishing this ride would last forever.

"Okay we're here" he announces and he stops his bike, I try not to sigh as I let go of him, I wanted to hold on forever. As I get off the bike he rushes over to me quickly and puts a supportive arm around my waist so I can stand properly. I put my arm across his shoulders as he basically drags me up to his front door, with the pain I'm in, I doubt I could even stand without his help. He pulls his keys out his pocket and the sudden movement makes me wince, "you okay?" He asks, looking at me with concern.
"Just in a bit of pain." I respond, trying to smile.
"Of course, yeah, sorry, stupid question." He inserts his key into the lock and quickly twists it, it takes all my strength to step up into the entrance of his house. Wow. His house is so different to mine. There weren't beer bottles scattered across the floor, there wasn't dried blood on the walls, no smell of stale food and alcohol. I took a deep breath in. It smelt so clean and fresh, of flowers and scented candles.
"Nice house." I say as he helps me into the living room. I look around the room and it's scattered with loving family photos, pictures of little Richie playing in his front yard, and another of him and his mother eating ice creams in Derry town centre. That one was really cute.
"Thanks. Are you ready?" He asks. I stop looking around the room as see that he's gesturing towards the sofa, asking if I'm ready for him to place me down.
"Yep." He gently helps me down, his hand supporting the base of my back, I can feel myself blush as it sends tingles up my spine. I've never felt this way before.
"Okay, I'm going to go and look for something that could help you, I'll be back in a bit."
"Thanks for this Richie."
"It's no problem sweetcheeks, just try to not get blood on the sofa, otherwise my mom will murder me." He goes out the room and I can hear his footsteps running up the stairs.
