Somewhere only we go

Chapter 1

Lucy's p.o.v
"Lucy come on get in the lake" shawn shouted to me. I was sat on the banking next to the big oak tree we visit every day "I'm coming I'm coming calm down" I take off my shorts and tshirt ,just leaving me In my coral coloured bikini. I run down the bankin and jump into the cold lake,I splash Shawn with cold water and he laughs "that's for making me get in" he splashes me back and swims closer to me "that's for not telling me what you're getting me for my 13th birthday" I laugh and swat his arm "I'm not telling you,you'll have to wait until tomorrow" he pouts and I playfully push him,he pretends to be hurt and I sit next to him in the shallower part of the water "shawn it's getting darker,can we go home now?" I ask him he smiles "sure come on" he helps me up and we get out of the lake,drying off and putting our clothes on. we begin to walk and he takes my hand in his,not in a boyfriend kind of way but more of a protective kind of way.

Shawns p.o.v
I take Lucy's hand In mine and we begin to walk home,we walk in silence but not awkward silence,the beautiful kind where you take in all the amazing things around you. I look at the gorgeous birds flying through the sky and all the beautiful autumn leaves falling from the tall trees that tower above,and then my eyes make their way to my perfect best friend and take in everything about her. Like the way she smiles when she looks at the little Robbins sitting on the branches of the trees or the way she hums in time to the birds songs. "Why are you staring at me" she asks and giggles "I uhm sorry" I say and put my head down "no I don't mind it" she says while lifting my head back up, I smile and realise were back at her house "good night shawn" she says to me and I open my arms
To hug her,she hugs back and we hold it for a minute or so "good night Lucy,I'll see you tomorrow" she smiles and walks through the open door in to her house. I walk down the small lane to my house that is 6 doors down from hers and I am greeted by my mother in the front garden "hello Shawn,did you and Lucy have a nice time?" She asks me and I nod and hug her, I go into the house and up to my bedroom,I lay in my bed and soon I slowly drift to sleep.
