Finding Love (Damian x Raven)

Morning Tea

Damien wasn't surprised to see Raven this early, sitting at the table and drinking tea from a mug. Damien prepared his own mug and sat down two seats away from Raven. She was the only one he could really stand being around, the others were too noisy and making trouble, minus Starfire, but she was a little naive for a leader. To be fair, she was an alien and wasn't used to everything the earth offered just yet, but she could learn a little discipline when it came to shopping. Robin smirked remembering an adamant Raven almost being dragged out by Starfire for a 'time of the shopping', but Raven teleported away to safety.

It was still pleasantly quiet and tea was amazing. They both sighed happily.

He glanced to the side. Raven was now reading a book, pulled out of nowhere it seemed.

He took the chance to examine the red crystal on her forehead. The prison of Trigon. How was she able to take it? Does Trigon talk to her? How could I help her? I could offer, but she's too stubborn. I don't want her leaving again to try and fix things herself, she could get seriously injured. His chest felt a little tight, but nothing compared to how he felt when Raven could have died on that day Trigon attacked. He didn't want to lose Raven.

"What's wrong, Damien?"
He looked up questioningly at Raven who was calmy sipping her tea.

"You're forehead scrunched just a little and the corner of your mouth is in a slight frown, so what's wrong?" She set her book down, clear she wasn't letting this go. Her own forehead was creased, evident of worry for himself. She's doing it again. Taking care of everyone else before herself, putting them before herself.

Damien forced his face back to a calm one and got up to leave.
He put the mug in the sink and  stopped at the door, turning his head to Raven's, "You're the strongest person I know... but even the strong need help, so... don't be stubborn and just ask."

Damien left with her surprised face in his mind.

If Raven wasn't going to prioritize herself more often, he was going to do it for her.
