"You guys don't get it do you?" Emily said, almost on the verge of yelling. Liam stood behind her, a hand on her shoulder. They had their four children in front of them. Hunter, Astrid, Mason, and Annaleigh all sat in front of the couple. Hunter was in twelfth grade, Astrid was in eleventh grade, and the twins, Mason and Annaleigh, we
re in ninth grade of private school. They sat, giving looks and not understanding.

"All of you have been rude, disrespectful, and most of all, spoiled. Your mother and I have came to a conclusion..." Liam trailed off. Emily raised her eyebrows.

"Your're going to public schools." They both said in sync.

The children began protest. "But I have the tournament this weekend!" Mason yelled standing and throwing his arms over his head.

"I'm not going to school with people like that." Astrid said disgusted, crossing her arms over her chest.

"You think I'm going to public school? You're funny." Hunter replied, leaning back in his chair, laughing to himself.

"What about my friends?" Annaleigh exaggerated jumping up and down.

"There's no questions about it. You're going. No if's, and's, or but's. Sorry. But it's comes to this." Emily told them, standing and leaving the room, with Liam following.

"They took it better than I thought." Liam joked once they were in the kitchen. "Are we doing the right thing?" Emily asked, shaking her head. Liam leaned over the counter. "I'm sure we are." he said pecking her lips once.

"What about the rest of the boys? What did they say?" she replied.

"I think they're all doing the same."

Liam's smile went into a playful smirk. "Really? Harry and Kassidi are going to tell Darcy she has to go to public school? We need that video taped." Emily said, smiling back.

"I want to see Zayn tell Zoey she has too."

The two laughed. They laughed together just like they had for almost 17 years.

The boys known as One Direction didn't ever break up, at one point they just had to stop making boy band music. They grew to old. They all had families. They were all still the best of friends.

Emily and Liam walked back into the room, to find it in utter chaos.

Annaleigh just kind of sat back, as well as Mason, but Hunter and Astrid were in some kind of argument.

"Guys, there really is no need for all of this. It's just for the year, then we'll go on from there." Liam tried to explain, but with no luck.

"See! This is what we are talking about. You won't even be quiet for two seconds just to listen to your father. It's official, you have seven days until school starts, and it'll be at London High School." Emily said, her voice raising. Liam set a protective hand on her shoulder.

"Go up to your rooms and peacefully think about this." Liam emphasized, trying to get the message through that they were going.

The children, very loudly, made their way upstairs, and into their room.

"See, I told you they'd understand." Liam said, pulling Emily into a hug.

"They don't understand, they're angry. We were once children. I think we both understand what it's like to have something torn from you. And when you're a child, you think the world is ending." Emily said, looking up at him.

"They'll get over it." he whispered, giving her another kiss.

"Ugh, they cannot do this to us!" Astrid stomped into right into her room and made sure to slam the door as hard as she could. As did the other Payne children. Right when Mason was about to close his door, he stopped himself.

"I hate this. So much. Mom, dad, I hate you! I never want to talk to you again!" He yelled loud enough so Emily and Liam could hear, then closed his door to sorrow in his bedroom.

Downstairs, Emily and Liam were sitting down at the kitchen table. Emily had her head in her hands while Liam had his arm around her shoulder.

"How is this supposed to work? Mason hates us, and so does our other children. Liam, I don't know if I could go along with this plan." She looked up at her husband. Liam grabbed her chin, looking her in the eyes.

"This is going to work. The hard part is over, okay? Mason will forgive us, he is just upset. So are the others." He pecked her lips. "Go rest. I'll join you in a little while." He said with a playful wink. Emily sighed but nodded with a smile. She then left to upstairs, leaving Liam there at the kitchen table to think.
