Nick stood there shirtless while Shawn sat on the bed embarrassed. He just blankly stared at his mum who's jaw dropped. She walked in and closed the door.

"What the hell is going on here." She said crossing her arms. Shawn was about to speak but she cut him off.

"I'm talking to this young man." She said staring at Nick intently who was awkwardly standing there. He dipped his head. Almost looking as if he was ashamed.

"You know my sons underage right?" Shawns mum said and Nick softly nodded.

"And Shawn oh my gosh. I knew you fancied him but I didn't think you would go to this level." She said, this making Shawn also bow his head and was also slightly ashamed.

"I'm sorry Mrs Mendes." Nick said and Shawns mum just stayed silent.

"What about your girlfriend?" She said and Nick didn't say anything.

"So your cheating on her?" She said and Nick softly nodded.

"You guys haven't had sex have you?" She said and both boys continued to leave there head down. Shawns mum smacked Nick in the face.

"How dare you cheat on your girlfriend, come over to my place and shack up with my son." She said getting angry until Shawn had to try calm him down.

"Mum please stop." He said getting out of bed and she just stared at him.

"I'm very disappointed in you Shawn." She said and turned towards Nick.

"I want you out of my house." She said and then left the room. Nick stood there with a red flush to his face.

"I'm so sorry." Shawn said rubbing Nicks cheek and Nick smirked.

"Nah She's right. I'm one of those guys that gets with the young girls that the parents hate and just come of as a jerk." He said now placing his hand on Nicks hip.

"But your not a jerk. You're adorable and kind. A bit cocky yes but other then that, such a lovely guy." Shawn said properly getting dressed and Nick did so as well.

"So what happens from here?" Nick said and Shawn turned around.

"It's either me or her." And Nick sighed.

"Okay." And Nick looked surprised.

"I thought that was gonna be a harder choice for you."

"I love you Shawn. More then I love Hailey. If I have to leave her for you, which I probably should, then thats okay." He said and Shawn laughed.

"That sounded so dumb."

"I know but I really do care about you Shawn and I just want you to be happy... with me." He said placing a kiss on Shawns forehead.

"You should probably leave through the window. I need to have a talk with my mum." Shawn said and Nick nodded.

"If it gets to tough just come over to mine okay?" Nick said and Shawn nodded.

"Of course." He said and Nick smiled exiting out the window. Shawn then left the room and found his mum folding laundry in her room.

"Knock knock." Shawn said and his mum just continued folding laundry.

"Do you wanna talk?" He said and she continued.

"I just wish you would talk to me more instead of sneaking behind my back."

"I wasn't its just He's a adult and I'm still a teenager."

"Exactly thats why it cannot go on anymore." She said.

"You can't do that mum... I love him."

"You've known the man for a few weeks. You will be fine." She said and Shawn sat down on the bed.

"Mum... Of course I have a crush on this man. I may have told you I didn't countless times but I do. In fact I love him and he makes me happy. He protects me and makes me feel comfortable and makes me feel secure and I just adore him... and he adores me. I know it's hard for you to except at the moment but please just give me a chance." Shawn said and his mum stopped folding laundry.

"Shawn I love you... but this is a bit much. Your still a kid." She said.

"I'm 17. Almost 18. I'm practically a adult.

"Okay fine... but on one condition."

"What's that?"

"You have to have the talk with your father." She said and Shawn tensed up and got a shiver.

"I can't. I can't come out." He said and his mum smirked.

"Well no more Nick." And Shawn frowned.

"Mum this isn't some lighthearted thing. It's serious.

"I know and thats why you have to do it. So I know that your being serious and not just screwing around with the man next door for the hell of it."

"I just... I'm scared of his reaction. He thinks I'm so straight and I don't wanna let him down." Shawn said and his mum sighed.

"Your father may be manly and have those views but he isn't homophobic or anything and will love you for who you are because your his son. His only son." She said and continued to fold clothes.

"So when do I have to do it." He said and his mum thought.

"Whenever you want. You just can't see Nick until you have done it." She said.

"Can I not bring Nick over for support." He said.

"Nick is dating another person Shawn."

"He said he's gonna leave her."

"Oh my god. You are such a homewrecker." She said and Shawn was slightly offended.

"I mean..." Shawn began but had no comeback.

"Don't worry. I heard from locals that there relationship was a bit rocky so I don't think it was to serious." She continued.

"I think it would be best if you had the talk with your father just by yourself. Just you and him, one on one." She said and Shawn sighed.

"What if I freak out." Shawn replied.

"Just think about how you would react to your son coming out." She said and it helped Shawn slightly.

"Do you think he will be upset." Shawn said and his mum breathed in.

"Probably not. Don't worry. We love you always."
