·Andy Fowler·

I must've fallen asleep.
But I woke up about an hour later.
I was still cuddled into Rye.
I turn to see if he's asleep, and he is, so I reach over and grab my journal.

Haha.
Long time no see.
Kidding. I literally JUST wrote in you a bit ago.
Remember when I said I wasn't going to get attached?
Well, I'm currently laying here.
In Ryes embrace.
And I'm comfortable.
It's calming.
He seems to care about me too.
Which is something not alot of people normally do.
I know I said I wasn't going to get too close...
But it's just hard when I have nobody else..
When he's showing me that good people DO exist..
He's stirring about..
I should go.

I close my journal and place on the table.
I grab my phone and check it.
My mum messaged and said she wasn't going to be home like she had originally planned.
I text back that its okay and reach, putting it down.
Rye must feel my movement because he pulls me back against him again.
"mmm," he grunts quietly. "come back."
I turn to face him.
"I'm here," I tell him.
He slowly opens his eyes, looking at me.
He reaches up with his hand and plays with the back of hair.
"Are you feeling alright?" he asks. I nod.
"A bit better.. Yeah," I answer.
"That's good," he smiles.
"Mum texted me," I say.
"What'd she say?" he asks.
"That she isn't gonna be home like she thought. She'll let us know when she knows though," I answer.
He nods.
"Are you still thinking of throwing a party?" I ask, sarcastically, smiling.
"No. I don't want to have one anymore," he answers.
"What changed your mind?" I ask.
He shrugs.
I decide to let it go.
"I uhm.. I was wondering.. If you wanted to watch a movie or something?" I ask.
He smiles.
"I'd love to," he says.
"I'll go get popcorn. You can pick a movie. They're over there," I tell him, pointing at the cabinet.
We both get out of bed and I go downstairs.
I make the popcorn and take it back up with me.
Rye is already back in bed and I climb in beside him. I place the bowl between us.
I look to see what he picked.
"Damn you, Rye," I say.
"What??" he asks.
"I HATE scary movies," I tell him.
"It was in YOUR cabinet," he chuckles.
"Doesn't mean I like it," I say.
"Poor baby," he smiles, leaning over the popcorn to mess with my hair.
"Shush," I say, batting him away jokingly.
"Do you want me to pick something else?" he asks.
"No. This is fine. Just don't make fun of me when I get scared," I tell him.
"Never," he says, semi sarcastically.

As the movie goes on, it gets more and more scary.
I have the blanket covering part of my face.
Rye grabs the popcorn, leaning over me, and places it on the table.
He then moves closer to me and places his hand on my neck, gently, to pull my head to his chest.
I look up at him.
He looks at me.
"shhhhh," he smiles.
I turn back to the movie and wince at the screen.
I feel Rye kiss the crown of my head.

After the movie ends, I quickly turn the tv off.
"Babe.." he says, pulling me into him.
My phone rings and I jump, still frightened by the film.
"I can get it," he says, reaching for my phone.
He answers it.
"Hello."
"He's in the restroom."
"Oh.. Okay.."
"Yeah."
"No problem."
"See ya."
"Bye."
He hangs up.
"It was your mum. She wont be back for a few weeks. She said to tell you she loved you," he says.
I nod. He goes to stand up.
"Where are you going?" I ask, scared to be alone.
"I was gonna take the bowl downstairs," he says.
"Please dont go," I say, pulling him back and cuddling into him again. "Let it stay there."
He realizes that I'm still frightened.
"Hey," he says, looking at me. I meet his eyes. "I'm kinda shaken up a bit after the movie too. How about we both get ready and go on a walk? To calm down," he says.
I don't WANT to, but I find myself nodding in agreement.
