If I'm being honest, I wasn't bothered by the movie at all. I just want to help Andy calm down.
I throw on a sweatshirt and some shoes and Andy does the same.
We both walk downstairs and out the door.
Thankfully the rain has stopped for now.
We just walk. Neither of us saying a word to eachother.
I stop and he turns to look at me.
"I have somewhere we can go," I tell him.
"Where?" he asks.
"Come on," I say, intertwining his fingers with mine.
I take him to my friend, Mikey's, house. Hopefully he's there. He normaly goes on weekends.
"Whose house is this?" Andy asks.
"Shhhh," I say.
I knock on the door.
Mikey answers it and a huge grin spreads across his face.
"Thank god. I was hoping you were back home and not at the flat," I say, releived.
He kind of cocks his brow and looks at Andy and I's hands, still smiling.
I quickly let go of his hand and pull him inside by the arm past Mikey, sitting on the couch.
Mikey follows.
"Aren't you even gonna introduce me to this boy of yours?" he smiles.
"His name is Andy. I'm staying with him and his mum while I get things sorted," I say, turning red at Mikey calling him MY boy.
"Nice to meet you Andy. I'm Mikey," he says, reaching out and shaking Andys hand.
"You want a beer or anything?" Mikey asks.
Andy shakes his head no.
"I'll take some tea if that's alright mate," I say.
Mikey nods and heads off to the kitchen.
Andy leans over close to me. I can feel his breath on my face.
"What the fuck is this, Rye? I thought you were getting rid of the bad shit in your life.." he whispers.
"I am. I turned down the beer, didn't I?" I whisper back.
"And this Mikey dude. He's covered in piercings and tattoos. How do you even know him?" he asks.
"You wouldn't beleive me if I told you. But trust me. Those things arent what defines him. He's really like a giant teddy bear if I'm being honest," I answer.
Just then Mikey came back with my tea.
"Ah, yes! Thanks mate," I say, taking a sip. "God, Andy, you've got to try it. It's the best tea you'll ever have."
I hold the cup out to him. He looks at it for a moment and then takes a sip.
"Holy shit," he says, taking another sip.
I chuckle.
"That's REALLY good," he says, handing it back to me.
"Well thank you," Mikey smiles.
"Uhm, could I use your bathroom quick?" Andy asks him.
"Yeah, of course, mate. It's right down the hall. Last door on the right," Mikey tells him.
"Thanks," Andy says.
When he's gone Mikey wont stop giving me a cheeky grin.
"What??" I ask, smiling back nervously.
"How long have you guys been together?" he asks.
"What? We're not.. We're not together.." I say.
"Ryan. There's clearly something there. You have to be blind not to see it," he says.
"Okay.. Okay.. He's bi. But I don't know what I am. The moment I laid eyes on him, I changed. I knew I would have to for him. I haven't even THOUGHT of doing anything bad. I don't want to go to any parties or anything. I just wanna be with him all the time," I say.
"Do you both know you like eachother?" he asks.
"I don't know.. We cuddle and shit.. We were watching a movie and he got all nervous and asked me if I was bi.." I say.
"And?" Mikey asked.
"I.. I told him that I was whatever he wanted me to be.." I confess.
"Damn, Rye. You got it bad huh?" he asks. "ARE you bi?"
"I have no clue! Up until Andy I wouldn't have ever even thought of being with a guy.." I tell him.
"Okay. So maybe you aren't bi," he says.
"I don't think I'm gay either.." I say.
"Maybe you're not. Maybe-" he starts but Andy comes back so he stops.
"Are you ready to go?" I ask Andy, suddenly stressed.
"Uhm, sure," he says, looking confused.
I hug Mikey and thank him for letting us come in. Andy does the same.
Andy and I walk back home in silence.
