Another BestFriend's Love Story

Chapter 6

"She is like so amazing, she's so mature!" Exclaimed Shane

We are hanging out in the park near our houses, I was sitting on the swing and move slowly enjoying the wind. Shane is absolutely falling in love with Laila, he has been talking about her since we were going out to park.

"I know Shane, you said it for like how many times already" I sighed and smile sheepisly

"I don't care whether she will say yes or not, I will confess to her!" He shout like crazy people and running around the swing

"Shut up Shane! People will think you are crazy"

"No they won't. Nobody in here baby Amb" Finally he sit on the swing beside me and looking at me 

I gaze at his beautiful eyes and smile softly. I am happy for him if Laila is the best for him, even though I have this pain in my heart. I know I have a boyfriend and  Nate is such a lovely gentleman that always taking care of me. But the guy that I give my heart to is only Shane.

"I am happy for you Shane." I finally find my voice, I can't look at him in the eyes, I gaze upon the sky to see the sky slowly turn into bright orange.

"I know you do Amber. You are my best friend, never forget about it" 

"Yah, I am your best friend" I say it softly, somehow it doesn't sound good.

I sigh and moving my leg to move my swing. I never expect that I will fall for Shane, and being with him for all this time, it really sounds so cliche. 

"Can I ask you one thing Amb?" 

"Yes?"

"Are you really like Nate?"

"Yes I am, he is a great guy, not one of the jerk I used to date"

"I can see that" Shane chuckle, "Hear, I know its not my business, but just be careful alright? I know he is a great guy, but if he do anything bad, just call me I will kill him for you" 

I chuckle softly, I look at him, Shane as always look so cheeris, I walk in front of him and hug him, I put my head on his shoulder. I breath on his neck slowly, his smell drive me insane. I love him so much. But I need to let him go, before he know my feeling, before he know my secret, before he feel bad for me. 

"Baby Amb?" Shane sounds confuse

"Just let me have this moment, can I?" I release him and look at his eyes

Shane stands and open his arm widely with a cocky smile plaster on his face. I hug him tightly and feel completely safe. As if I am a normal girl that have a happy life. I just can't complaint anything. I have an awesome parents that always love me so much. I have my best friends Shane, Sheyla, Tayla and Paula, I have an amazing boyfriend. What can go wrong? I don't know how but the tears falling down on my face and quickly making Shane's shirt wet. 

"What's wrong baby Amb?" Shane ask worrily

"I just having a moment here, can you just let me be?" 

"Shushhh, everything gonna be alright baby Amb." Shane reassure me, he pat my head while hugging me tightly. "One day, you and I will have a happy family, our childs will fall in love with each other and married, we will have grand children together, we still can live beside each other like our parents are, we can always be best friend, I will be there whenever you need me, and kick you husband when he's such a jerk to you" he say dreamily.

I cried more because I know that I can't be there with him when he is getting married, when he is having his first kids, when he is living happily ever after with his wife and family. oh God, at least I will leave him with someone he can be happy. I release him and look at his confuse eyes, he want to ask me why I was crying, but somehow he keep quite and smile at me.
