I sat down with my legs folded and leaned on my bed which was still unmade. First of all I felt guilty that I was secretly meeting a boy which Jenna had no idea about. Ofcourse , the moments I spent with Oliver were short lived but still they counted. The more I thought about him, the more I wanted to see him again. But since Jenna seemed to have found Joel, it was high time I found someone too.

I sat impatiently at the table in the kitchen , constantly tapping my foot. Our kitchen was covered with flowery wallpapers and it was clean. The kitchen back at home would be super dirty but this was the polar opposite. Jenna opened the microwave as the lovely smell of hot and fresh pie filled my nose.

"Yummy!," I smiled.

She walked towards me and placed  the pie on my plate and rubbed her hands against her apron. I didn't even wait for another second and threw a small piece of the pie into my mouth. It was delicious but hot. And I had to admit Jenna was a better cook than my mom. I stared at what was left on my plate which was the last of the pie. I just wanted to start all over again but then something small yet rock solid hit my head. Annoyed that something just interrupted my breakfast which was almost gonna be over , I turned around. On the floor , I spotted a tiny stone. How unexpected! I shifted my eyes to the window next to the sink and Oliver was smiling at me! I couldn't believe the beautiful scene that my eyes had just seen. I happily jumped up and shoved the last piece of the pie into my mouth , flattened my baby pink knee length skirt and hopped towards the door.

"Where are you going?," I knew she'd question me.

I tried to hide my excitement and looked at her as if there was nothing outside waiting for me," Just walking and you know admire nature and stuff," I bluffed.

She nodded her head and smiled , showing her approval and I took off because I couldn't risk any other minute of being questioned.

"W.O.W!!!! You live here?," I gaped looking around the huge living room , standing on the thickly carpeted stairs which I remembered seeing when I first peeped in through the window that day.

"I do , with my sister actually , " he answered , his hands in his pockets.

"Can I go upstairs and see?," I knew I sounded kiddish but then again I was fascinated by his house. From outside it looked creepy and old but on the inside everything was perfect. All the things were in place and big portraits hung on the walls. The whole house was lit with bright candles with a sweet lavender scent filling my lungs. It was heavenly. I trailed up the huge staircase with Oliver following behind. Everything was huge in this house. The staircase ended and I stepped into a long hallway which was lined with portraits too  , very similar to the living room. I noticed a sleek , black table to my right and a beautiful purple vase with fresh white roses sat on it.

"Come on . I'll show you my room," Oliver volunteered and walked ahead as I followed him. We kept walking till we reached the end of the hallway and to my left there was a door. He gently pushed it open and led me inside. His room was totally different from the entire house. It was like I had stepped in to somebody else's place. His room was colorful and instead of boring portraits his room was filled with lively paintings and sketches. He had a small bed with velvet covers and it was messy just like mine. I walked towards it and grabbed the white paper which lay on it. It was a portrait of a beautiful woman.

"You did this?," I asked him.

"Yes, all of them," he nodded. I was surprised. I remember I tried to to draw something like this in my fifth grade and it was good but not as good as this.

I carefully placed it back where it was as he went and leaned across the window sill and folded his arms across his chest. Only then I noticed that he was wearing a black shirt and baggy pants , his hair covering half of his right eye.He looked perfect in that attire for his pale skin was a beautiful contrast to his black shirt.

"So ....," I was searching for words.

"Why are you staying on this island?," he looked at me.

"I'm here on a vacation with my aunt," I said , fiddling with the seams of my skirt.

"So , do you like it here?,"

"I do . I really do," I stressed my words specifically looking at him. I thought my stay here would be boring but Oliver certainly assured me that it wouldn't be so.

"Why did you come here that night when I told you to follow me?," he was firing his questions at me like I was in a Quiz Show. I had to think for an aswer especially to that question.

"Because I felt like it," I had intended  to say something else but instead I blurted out the truth.

Awkward silence followed, with me just simply staring at the walls. And the next thing I knew Oliver was seated next to me and he took my hands in his which made me shift my eyes to his in surprise.

"I love you," he said , his face serious.

Those three words sent flutters through my stomach. Like normal couples , he didn't ask me out nor did we go out on a date but this was something different. The look in his eyes assured me that he was confident with what he had said.He was waiting for me to  speak. But then my phone vibrated in my pocket and I withdrew my hands from his and checked it. A text,

"Come home now , Darling. I'm going out - Jenna"

I sighed at the text and got up reluctantly. "I gotta go," I said.

"Take your time to think and then tell me how you feel. I'll wait," he said as he ran his fingers through his hair. I smiled  and left the mansion.
