The Wasp Chronicles #1: Into the Hornet's Nest

Prelude

"On the island of Hornetia, the evil scientist spoke"With this device, I shall create giant mutant hornets that will unleash chaos upon those wretched inhabitants". He turned on the Growth-Elixir Molecular Magnification Ray (GEMMR) and aimed it at a large hornets nest. It fired an eerie green beam of light at the nest and immediately, the stick-like nest grew twice its size. He cut it off and took a coffee break. Suddenly, a tiny hornet flew into the lab and started flying towards the professor. He tried to shoo the annoying creature away, but in the process, spilled his coffee on the machine and it went haywire shooting strange beams of light everywhere. One of the beams hit the nest of vicious, enraged wasps and it increased in size forcing the professor out of the lab. "It seems I have miscalculated the machine to increase objects to this size," Said Nathaniel. Instantly, an enormous hornet came out of the massive nest and attacked the professor. "No! Go away! Stop stinging me! Aaaaaagh! Nooooo -" Professor Nathaniel shrieked. The wasp had devoured its first meal and soon those giant behemoths will claim more victims who venture this enchanted but hostile island of horrors..." "Dad, when are you going to get on with the wasp battle?" My oldest daughter rudely asked me. "Look, I will explain that part of our experience to you kids when we get to it. Now, I shall start from the beginning of my story to all of you with Clément's help, so be patient." I told her. I started to begin our story of how our lives would soon change forever.
